InactiveHey mate
You should have no problems here. I don’t think the search engines search for translated text let alone penalise for it.. after all, there are people around the world who need to know the same information so why should they be penalised for not speaking english?
I’d be interested to see if any SEO experts have anything opposite to say here..
The only other way I would suggest is to have folders for each lang..eg
http://www.yourdomain.com/fr/index.htmthe most logical way would be fr.yourdomain.com although another way would be to actually get the french domain: http://www.yourdomain.fr – i have a feeling that in most countries you need a business licence or something to get their extension.. i know thats how it is in Oz..
Good luck!

StarBucksSportsMemberIf your flat-mates are familiar with Gaming, go for it. If not, get ready to explain terms such as “rake” and “all-in”.
In my experience, if you have your site translated by someone not in the industry, you better be willing to “fix” it a couple of times.
Just my 2c. :hattip:

InactiveIf you are using a cms there are components you can install for language translation such as JtransPro for Joomla which creates folders for each language and a duplicate for every page on your site – however, these components use google or yahoo for translations which does not convey your pages professionally (in my opinion). But – you could use something like this and then have someone polish them up for you.
As far as the search engines go, they do index these pages. I use Joomla myself and already have some pages indexed in other languages. I also know that some of the affiliate managers will help with translations. I guess you would have to ask them to find out which ones do. I know that StarPartner does.

woutersMemberYou can try the lastest Joomla ( 1.5.8 ), you can have several languages in the same site. Where i think you can have problems is making the translation, you need to be very accurate in order to offer an A+ Website.
Some Translation Tools i use sometimes:
