misswiggMemberWhat is the URL? By your description probably not much unless you have a really nice url or something, badly designed site, no traffic, no aff accounts with it, you might be better off keeping it.

multirake1Memberok, thanks for your reply. I thought that the annual income that the site generates might come into the evaluation, but obviously not. I don’t want to give out the url publicly. Perhaps I will keep up the fight with my Internet provider to iron out these problems, and keep my earnings coming in.

InactiveIs there an internet cafe nearby that you can use? Or maybe look into better mobile broadband.

multirake1MemberFonzi, thanks for your thoughts, however I live in the mountains so driving to an Internet cafe is not really an option, time doesn’t really allow for that as I usually work from home, whilst seeing to the animals, hubby, and all the other things that come up during a busy day. I was thinking to just sell all my websites and start something new, but if they are considered not to be worth anything, then I will leave them run as the money they generate is good and regular and pays the bills. I have 5 other non gambling websites that also bring in a bit from advertisers, but the gambling site brings in the most each month, so I would never let it go for a low price.
We only have 2 mobile broadband providers here, and the other one doesn’t have a strong enough signal for me to pick up. I did look at satellite internet, but its hellishly expensive here, I don’t think I want to go that way just nw. Anyway the rev share keeps rolling in every month, so I will just wait and see how my predicament goes.
I find it strange that a site is not evaluated on its proven annual income and/or monthly new player signups. It generates good money but worth next to nothing, weird.

It is evaluated on income along with some other factors but knowing the domain is very important.
I was going to mention satellite internet but if its so expensive then I don’t know.
You may want to go to the local office for your mobile carrier and ask for advice. Maybe there’s some sort of signal booster you can use. I know years ago you could connect 2 dsl connections to one router to speed things up. I wonder if you could maybe do the same with 2 mobile broadband connections. Just thinking outside the box.

InactiveI know you want to sell and get out of the business.
But if you merely leave the site, it will eventually die and you’ll be left only with a decision as to when to ‘pull the plug’.
If your income is real, you may be able to make ‘a deal’ with someone who can update it for you for ‘a piece of the action’ ( 50% of increased revenue for example).

misswiggMemberHow does it get so many new sign ups without any traffic?

“I would be thinking to sell website only, without affiliate accounts.”
The reason the site is not evaluated on its current income is that you are keeping the current income. Without the affiliate accounts, players that are contributing to the current income mean nothing to the new owner.
Also understand that many things change in this business over time. For example say I had a site that had lots of signups with CasinoCoins, and for a year consistently made 1000 a month. Then one day CasinoCoins closes shop. Now I want to sell site, but previous earnings really do not apply because of the big change.
Or say your site is rocking in the search engines and it gets hit by the latest algorithm change. do previous earnings have anything to do with value of that site? Again if you are keep aff accounts, previous earnings mean nothing to new buyer.

multirake1MemberA belated thanks to all the replies. I have not resolved the situation yet, however I found out some information about an EU directive (its not actual law yet) that each EU member country is required to provide adequate communications to all citizens at an affordable cost (phone, fax, internet access). Having brought this up with various government officials, it is being looked at, and seems they should be doing something to help me with this intolerable situation as it comes close to being a basic human right. Meantime my sites all got another boost on Google after the last update, so new signups have more than doubled without me having done any work for nearly 2 months! I guess I will wait the situation out for a while and see what the government here comes up with. Thanks to everyone who replied to me.
