My bad misread the post. I saw the site for sale on sitepoint and I assumed you were talking about selling the site and not advertising.

Still, why was the rakeback a setback for buying the site? (just curious?)

I put the advertising auctions to find advertisers for the new buyer as soon as he takes over.

I even state in the auction itself about these advertising auctions and that any money earned from these auctions will go to the new owner.

I saw your point about the rakeback making the site not attractive to advertisers, so i took it out (two other of my advertisers told me that too)
