I have never received one from Amex, but I did get one very similiar from Western Union some years ago. They wanted me to remove all referances to Western Union. They requested me to remove all graphics, Text referring to Western Union, and even “WU”. I quickly removed them and moved on.
Thanks, I did the same. I found it funny that there are 10 million sites with amex in the title tag, I get no hits for amex or american expre$$ and yet they sent me that email.
What would have happen if the email got sent to a spam folder or got lost in the email neverworld?

Normally their lawyers would follow up with a certified letter. It’s best to just address these things right away if you can to avoid any hassle from a company with probably 20+ in house lawyers waiting to run up your legal bills.
