    Hi,

I have an major issue concerning an eCOGRA Affiliate Trust sealed program. As such eCOGRA was contacted. The response back from Andrew Beveridge was alarming to say the least!

Over the years I’ve held doubts not only to eCOGRA’s legitimacy but also the conflicts of interest which have been riff from day one. Because of these I’ve been vocal on public forums.

It’s like my telco, if I don’t get satisfaction from them, I post my grievances to xxxhttp://forums.whirlpool.net.au/ My telco doesn’t say they want an apology before addressing these grievances and neither should eCOGRA!

I personally don’t take too kindly to being blackmailed and this effectively is what this is. If I don’t apologise to eCOGRA, they wont investigated a MGS affiliate program who has the Affiliate Trust Seal.

Dave why are you wasting your time with these idiots. Most affiliates know that eCOGRA is a toothless body whose sole purpose is to make offending Microgaming casinos look good at the expense of affiliates and players.

What good have they done in the last year for either a player or an affiliate?

However the point is, as a so called regulatory industry body they have a responsibility not only to players BUT also affiliates. If nothing is being done to address valid complaints then people need to know about it.

Posting this information here gets it into Google and ranking.

    Good catch J :)

Things have got progressively worse since the eCOGRA directors bought it from MGS.

I contacted Tex Rees (eCOGRA Disputes) regarding Casino Rewards stealing my players. Albeit Rewards Affiliates are not a sealed affiliate program. However that’s a moot point when a sealed casino group is stealing not only player but commissions too.

Just on my Playshare group players, literally 1000’s were not mapped to my account at Rewards Affiliate.

Any form of stealing by an eCOGRA sealed casino group should be reason enough to get involved. But Tex Rees used the lame excuse RA are not affiliate sealed. It’s effectively not within our mandate to do anything.

The problem is, eCOGRA and MGS hide behind the shirt tails of their industry Shills and are protected by these Shills too. One of these people is CM and the other, his side-kick jetset. Both these two were (maybe still are) consultants for eCOGRA.

No one knew about that until I spilled the beans over on the CM forum one day.

Point is, if eCOGRA was genuinely concerned about the casinos and affiliate programs they claim to audit/monitor then they’d be taking action.

    Edit:

Caruso speaking about Andrew Beveridge and the announcement the directors had purchased eCOGRA. Well worth a read the following link. However this quote made me lol.

But Tex Rees used the lame excuse RA are not affiliate sealed

It would not matter if they were. Lets look at the current programs that are ‘sealed’ by eCOGRA:

    AffClub

    Seal Approved :
    21 June 2010

    Seal Renewed :
    13 January 2012

    BrightShare

    Seal Approved :
    7 September 2009

    Seal Renewed :
    10 May 2011

    bwin.party partners

    Seal Approved :
    19 January 2010

    Seal Renewed :
    26 February 2013

    Fortune Affiliates

    Seal Approved :
    21 August 2008

    Seal Renewed :
    02 October 2012

    Roxy Affiliates

    Seal Approved :
    2 February 2009

    Seal Renewed :
    26 February 2013

    Star Partner

    Seal Approved :
    29 January 2010

    Seal Renewed :
    26 February 2013

So of the above I count several programs marked as rogue or predatory on AGD. The likes of Brightshare haven’t had their seal reviewed for some 2 years also. Plus the eCOGRA site carries this nice ‘get out of jail card.’

While eCOGRA does its utmost to ensure compliance with its principles, it cannot offer 100% assurance that the affiliate program is at all times in accordance with the eCOGRA requirements. Therefore eCOGRA cannot assume responsibility for the consequences resulting from the use of any affiliate program bearing the eCOGRA Affiliate Trust seal. eCOGRA is not liable to any person or group of persons, firm, company or entity for losses of any description that a user of accredited program may suffer. Accredited programs are subject to regular monitoring of their operation.

Nice to see regular monitoring in place in eCOGRA land..

I’ve said it before and I will start saying it louder. eCOGRA have no business dishing out seals to affiliate programs.

These requirements are enforced through onsite reviews and continuous monitoring

    Meaning of continuous:

    Adjective
Forming an unbroken whole; without interruption.
Forming a series with no exceptions or reversals.

    Synonyms
    continual – uninterrupted – incessant – unbroken

Hence, continuous monitoring as stated on the eCOGRA home page is a BIG FAT LIE!
