Black Stack PokerMemberAnd one more thing – what rev share and/or CPA should I ask for to promote new Casinos at the content story with this kind of traffic to support it? Thanks in advance! Pete

fergy58MemberHi Pete,
Wow! That’s so great that you have been able to deliver so much traffic right off the bat. If you wouldn’t mind me asking, how are you driving traffic to your site? It would be great to see the domain too to get a better idea of your affiliate business!
In terms of CPA vs RevShare, I would dive into the player value of those 300 depositing customers that you have sent so far. Have you have made more or less so far off of these players losses than you would on a 250 EUR CPA, and have they continued to deposit & play since you initially sent them?
The Revenue Share or CPA value will be highly dependent on the conversion rate of the casino, the market your traffic is coming from, how you are sending traffic, and the commission structure that each casino is set up on. For example, many of them operate on a tiered basis depending on the loss of your players, or the amount of FTDs that you send.
Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions on the above.

Black Stack PokerMemberHi, and thanks for your reply. The first month was negative due to high bonuses and one of the things that I am worried about is that these bonuses for new customers keep coming in at this rate – will eat too much of the revenue that the ‘old’ customers are leaving in the following months. The deal is a flat 40% rev share structure with no negative carry over. The full T&C’s for the program can be found here. The traffic is generated by ad placements with an online gambling target/segment. So, my big issue is – take a steady €50,000 a month or gamble that the rev share will outcompete this on a 8+ monthly basis. I forgot to mention in the initial post that I also have a €20 CPA for strictly deposit on top of the rev share of 40%

there are many open questions pete:
- What time frame are these stats pulled/was that campaign running? 8 months?
- You say 100% Scandinavian traffic, but what is the detailed country/market split here?
- The 199 Registrations are real account registrations without Fun player/registrations?
- To be honest i do not understand their stats terms – on what exactly did you receive 40%?
Please confirm stats for one month/May 2013:
- Real Players:?
- All Players (real + fun)

- First depositing Players:?
How much do you buy your traffic/player?
Are you focusing on Scandinavian markets only?June 6, 2013 at 12:09 pm #833429
Black Stack PokerMemberHi again, and thanks for taking the time – greatly appreciated. Here are the answers for Your questions:
- What time frame are these stats pulled/was that campaign running? 8 months?
These stats was for May 2013 only and it was actually running for only 3 weeks.
- You say 100% Scandinavian traffic, but what is the detailed country/market split here?
Country split is 45% for Finland and Norway and 10% from Sweden.
- The 199 Registrations are real account registrations without Fun player/registrations?
Real account registrations.
- To be honest i do not understand their stats terms – on what exactly did you receive 40%?
40% on net revenue share
Please confirm stats for one month/May 2013:
- Real Players:?
700
- All Players (real + fun)

These sign ups receive 20 freespins and there are a lot of work done to convert them with more freespins and high 1st, 2nd, 3rd and a 4th deposit bonus.
- First depositing Players:?
Approx 300 first time depositors.
- How much do you buy your traffic/player?
€5,71 per sign up and €12,69 per real money deposit
- Are you focusing on Scandinavian markets only?
For this campaign we did, but are now hitting the German speaking countries as well.

=> Ok, but i see a net revenue of: €3,065.29, 40% of that would be: €1839.24
=> Why did they deduct you another €613.12?=> Very odd to me here, how come, that the total deposit is 14.200EUR and the net revenue is only a small %, that is to me an indicator that they do not know how to get the most of your players here and providing you with a much better share, having in mind that using as Affiliate a multi casino software platform using MGS/NetEnt… is surely converting with 42%, but it seems to me you are paying as Affilaite here an high price in paying their fees/royalty’s? Would be something to discuss probably directly with your AM there.
=> sometimes is the best to just ask directly the Affiliate Manager of that specific program directly or the Affiliate Program Director how he did the calculation here for you.
=> I guess with at total deposit of almost 15kEUR you probably would run best here on a revenue share, depends how they calculate your share and where they deduct fees on your end here, which would be one of the first things i would ask, so you can do a more throughout calculation, and they come up with something more transparent.=> At least i would offer you directly to start sending a first test month on a 50% revenue share, that is a real 50% revenue share!
=> €5,71 per sign up and €12,69 per real money deposit => is that targeted casino traffic for that price, or just random (+18 data)?
=> Are you sending this data via mail, or directly via adverts (side under/pop up)?
=> Would be certainly interesting to know where you buy that traffic
But i would be also totally ok with that if you are willing to set up a test campaign with us and our products on the German, French, Italian, Spanish or UK market.
Hope that helps mate!
Seems you created a monster –

Thanks again for taking the time to answer me. I will have a thorough talk with the affiliate managers involved after June. I have worked in the industry a couple of years and I know very well that money talks and these two months will surely give me some leverage for decent and fair deals for both parts. My biggest concern is to get screwed on my delivered value as it can get very big if this traffic keeps up. The traffic is targeted against online gambling and casino related interest, but I want to keep where and what a business secret for now. I hope you understand:) The setup cannot be copied to every casino as it is running right now, but surely close to it after a bit of work. It’s a cost intensive exercise, but hopefully it can pay off in the longer run – I just would just hate to see I should have taken the CPA.

Hi all. In my first real month after launching my first affiliate site I have driven a lot of traffic to it. Approx 9000 unique visitors has resulted in 700 sign ups and 300 depositing customers. It is mainly two Casinos that have gotten this traffic due to a good content story around a slot machine. One of these Casinos have gotten most of the customers (500 sign ups and 200 New depositing customers). Deposit value was €15,000 for May for each Casino. First three days of June the deposit value is €2500 for the Casino With most traffic. This Casino is offering a CPA of €250 With a €10 deposit trigger and this money is quite tempting for me to chase for June. Havent really decided if I want to go after the hard CPA cash yet. Any tips and suggestions? The traffic is 100% Scandinavian. Best regards, Pete.
