Ok, is it ok to play for real money at a casino that we promote if we sign up through another affiliate’s link?
Up to now, I’ve been confused, so I play the free games, and only play for real money at casino’s I’m testing and not affiliated with.
By the way, Miami Paradise still hasn’t given me my withdrawal into my neteller account – over a week after I requested it!
Sent an email two days ago and haven’t heard anything (I know a call would be faster, but I do it the way the average player I send to a casino might do it). :p
June 23, 2004 at 9:55 pm #650852AnonymousGuestYes my dear it is fine to play under another affs link code; hmmm, now who could I suggest?
if you do decide to choose a casino from my site let me know and I’ll chime in some extra dough so we can test them with a sizeable amount of first deposit.
I almost think its a waste to test with just a $20 or even a $50 deposit anymore. I say test to see if the bigger players are showing up and its money well spent.

June 23, 2004 at 10:06 pm #650854AnonymousGuestExcellent! Cuz here I was promoting casinos which I think are great, and haven’t been playing at them since becoming an affiliate!!! How stupid, eh?
YAY!!
Ok, maybe it’s time to do some testing – soon as I get more dough in my Neteller account. I have a nasty habit of transferring all my deposits directly into my bank account, which makes it tough to gamble much………probably a good habit. :p
Yes, next month I think I’ll do some “testing”. Mwa ha ha!!
June 23, 2004 at 10:19 pm #650855AnonymousInactiveI’m with BB1 on this one!! I also am happy to add money to anyone’s bankroll who goes through my links. I want to see also how better players are tended.
June 23, 2004 at 10:46 pm #650856vladcizsolMemberMOST casinos dont have an issue with an affiliate playing via their own links, but this is not universal.
Always be sure to check terms and conditions or you may end up losing your affiliate account and have ALL commissions forfeited.
This actually happened to me after I tested a UK crypotologic casino that I had featured on all my sites. I decided to play there to test the software and they locked up my account and kept all my commissions.
I could have understood if they just refused to pay commission on my play, but no, they took it all and didnt even bother to tell me they were doing so. I ended up wasting a whole month of traffic before I figured out I was kicked out.
June 23, 2004 at 11:01 pm #650857AnonymousInactiveI think Janet was planning to use someone else’s link to play on, which surely couldn’t be against the t&c. Rather than playing through her own link…if you see what I mean.

I did this once because I just wasn’t thinking. Nothing bad happened though. Now I make sure I use other people’s links.

Normally I just have my brother signup thru my link cuz he is a hopeless gambler
June 25, 2004 at 4:29 am #650926AnonymousGuestYes Milhouse, but consider this.
If you were going to make sure “certain” signups showed in stats, you’d have to do it either by region, ie via a zip code; area code; possibly by state/region.
And … if you were even half-good at trying to conceal the fact that you were shaving players, wouldn’t the golden rule be to make sure that anybody that signed up with the same last name as the webmaster, was to always show up in the stats?
I’m not saying anybody out there is doing anything; but if they were; wouldn’t that be the way to go?
First thing I’d do is to make sure any signups that may come from the same last name, or from the same state/area code/zip code (pick one or all) would always show up.
Because if you’re testing, you’re most likely to use a relative, or someone else’s PC which needless to say, isn’t going to be half way around the world from your location. Its more likely to be across the street at your neighbors.
just something to consider.
ps
I always use someone that can’t be associated with me by any means.
