InactiveHi jmelwak,
Thank you for posting about this issue. It is a current issue we are trying to solve. We believe this issue to be caused by crawling SE robots/spiders, but still investigating. Unfortunately it is taking longer than we want to get to the bottom of this as the data supporting this theory is sporatic & affected by many variables.
We will investigate your account specifically. Also, I encourage anybody else with this issue to post here or email me with your affiliate id, it’s a big help!

InactiveHi Ryan, we’ve talked about dl’s before, I had months where I had lots of downloads, no registrations. That number has gone down considerably since we talked, but still have very uneven ratios.
Did you receive my email several days ago? I know the affiliate I spoke to you about in that email also has massive downloads.

InactiveHi all,
Just incase there is any confusion about this: The issue is inflated numbers in the clicks/downloads columns, not missing credit or untracked players, etc.
We’ve paid out more to affiliates in recent months than ever before so we are kicking along strong and affiliates are taking advantage of our TRUE 35%commission formula.
I just didn’t want anybody to read this thread and misinterpret the issue.

InactiveThanks for the mail Ryan….I sent you a reply. I have more than downloads, I have player registrations also, with no activity, and the active players I did have….they aren’t playing anymore….which I realize happens……but all of them?

GuestHi all,
Ryan correct me if i’m wrong because I’m not positive but I think the downloads are counted from the time they are started, not from when they are finished. So that alone would explain an inflated number of downloads in comparison to stats at other places.
In my case what Ryan says rings true. CR has really picked up the pace in the last couple months and seemingly is still growing strong.
This is such encouraging news to me and I’ve recipricated by giving CR the top spots again after a long period of mediocrity which saw them slip back in position due to that.
CR has traditionally not been the best at converting downloads to real players for me but they still manage to do well with the players they do sign, so hopefully this reflects the bigger picture; as I said it certainly fits the picture Ryan had mentioned in my particular case. I wasn’t surprised to see him say that at all.
*a bit of history for the newbies
…. for those that haven’t heard this story before; the way I kinda got to know Brent was I had written him saying that I had sent them a ton of hits but had yet to ever see their accountant’s signature; and that if it wasn’t for their quality reputation: that I’d be stopping sending them hits as of that moment.Brent wrote me back and instead of what I fully expected to hear; because its the same, lame, shame of a reply that I get 90% of the time under such circumstances; which is they will say to send more traffic to get more players and make more money. Which is totally ignorant since why would i want to send even more traffic – that I know converts elsewhere, to someplace that sucks? Well Brent just wrote me back and said that he was sorry and wished it was different, but that there was little he could do, except to say that in his opinion if I’d not seen any signups yet; that it meant I was “due” and that in the long run the numbers would even everything out to an acceptable level.
If he hadn’t been so frank I’d probably have pulled them either then or shortly after; but I decided to give it the time likely needed for me to see a turn around: giving it a fair chance.
That was about 5 years ago. CR has many times been my best producer and has never been disappointing, it was just that they leveled-off and I began to think I’d never see myself climb out of the “usual”.
Now of recent I’m seeing a nice jump which if added in with the time that was medicore; it should start to even out to proving CR has been a really good decision in my case.
And that perhaps Brent knew what he was talking about …. way back then.
No program will prove successful for every person as time has proven to me, but I can honestly say that if I had to do it over again; I’d surely still sign up and promote CR; in my case that’s a no-brainer.
And also keep in mind the seasons haven’t really changed yet and I’d imagine a lot of people are still enjoying some nice weather while they have the chance, and I bet we all see a good month in Nov and Dec in terms of real depositing players, once the weather turns and the days grow short. People who may have downloaded the casinos and then forgot about them when the weather turned nice; will remember where they left off and hopefully give us a great end of the year.
If I sound optimistic its only because I am.

Inactivei gave up on casino rewards because i can never tell what is a real download or just a search spider. there is no way i am getting dls now because i dont even promote them and its still showing i am getting dls every day, so i decided to stay with earn united, they at least show downloads and i am getting signups too. which casino rewards is saying im getting dls but never any signups. something is definetly wrong with there stats.

Inactivejmelwak wrote:i dont even promote them and its still showing i am getting dls every dayHah, the phantom clicks and downloads and occasional players.
You never get rid of them. There are places I haven’t promoted in years and years and still get clicks and downloads, and even an occasional check in the mail!
I think people must be clicking on cached pages at google or something.
Re. Casino Rewards: I definitely like them.

I am seeing same thing.. I have people playing but at very low levels. Tons of clicks and downloads every month and profits are way below average. As of dec 1st they will be loosing position on my sites..

InactiveHi Everybody,
Thx for those putting in a good word / sharing positive experiences about us. As for the inflated download issue re: started downloads / finished downloads = that is correct. That is, it counts started downloads – so yes one person who keeps loosing their connection and coming back would count for many ‘downloads’.
We have started implementing some new concepts which should handle a lot of the concerns voiced in this thread. I apologize for being vauge, however as we get closer to putting this into production I will post more. Just know that your concerns are being heard and we are taking the necessary steps to accomodate.
Timeframe: Early Q1 2006.
