Hi all,

I would like your opinion on an idea I have.

My main target is the Dutch market and I’ve got a nice site that ranks very nice in google.nl, so all is good.

Now I’d like to expand and get some more sites. Only problem I’m facing is that most brandable domains are taken. Now I thought it might be an idea to add a “2” behind the name. I.E. register casino2.com instead of casino.com

What do you think?

One downside I could think of was that people might think that once they saw site.com there is no reason to look at site2.com becasue they might think it’s similar..

I have not tested but i personally ont like domains with numbers unless it is 247 or 365

You may wish to visit http://www.snapnames.com once in a while as good domains come up for renewal in the gaming sector.

Unfortunatly I’m looking for the dutch extention… And they don’t show there..

I don’t see anything wrong with casino2.com. I don’t think it’s that brandable, but definitely something you can work with. I guess it does not have the best ring to it.

…to make the “2” belong there, it’s not a bad idea.

For excample “come2mycasino.x”

Otherwise it’s not very suitable, and you have to be aware of the problem you might face by just adding a “2” to someone else’s allready exsiting site.

Thats freeloading, and we don’t like that? :flush:
