InactiveUnfortunately no…
Site Match Terms:
Online Gambling Sites: Overture Site Match does not accept URLs from online gambling sites. Online gambling sites are those that have gambling as their central theme, including those that accept wagers or require payment in exchange for the chance to win prizes, as well as sites that offer both information and links related primarily to the promotion of online gambling.
Prescription Drug Sites: Prescription drug sites are those that sell prescription drug products, as well as sites that offer information or links related primarily to the sale of prescription drugs. If a site is a prescription drug site and either sells prescription drugs or facilitates the sale of prescription drugs (via links), these sites must take part in an Overture-approved qualification program. SquareTrade, an independent third-party, manages Overture’s approved qualification program.

vladcizsolMemberThis blows goats for those of us that submitted dozens of sites prior to Overture making their announcement.
:angry:I hope we will be able to at least get a refund of our PPC deposits.

vladcizsolMemberNeither Postion Tech or Ineedhits have ANY warning about Site Match not accepting gambling sites. And both of these companies asked all of us with existing accounts to renew/transfer our exisiting listings to site match.
Before ordering I carefully reviewed the FAQs and Terms and Conditions and NEITHER service indicated there would be a problem!!!!
They STILL don’t. The terms and conditions Antoine cut and pasted do appear at Overture, but not at any of the popular outlets where one would actually order Site Match.
This is very deceptive and by all rights we should be fully entitled to a refund of all our funds, not just the “deposits” we made on clicks we will most likely never receive!!!

InactiveI agree with you, Lou…
I was just sarcastically recalling the bitter taste in my mouth from many conversations with these people.
Trying to convey logical arguments and/or common-sense to Overture is like trying to put a chimp in an Easter dress: Not pretty, kinda sad, and a challenge that has no hope of a happy ending.

vladcizsolMemberI know J. Todd. I am not mad at you.
I AM mad at those assholes at Position Tech and Ineedhits though for NOT telling us of a potential problem.
Why did they remove those sections from the FAQs they have posted about site match?
I guess as long as they get their frigging cut they figured “To hell with the customers”.

InactiveI submitted a bunch of sites also – and they are soliciting me on a daily basis to submit more???? What is that all about?

InactiveI submitted over $1000 worth of sites using marketleap on March 1st. I looked at the terms and conditions there and I didn’t see anything about gambling. When i went to the actual site match provided by overture last week those are the new terms that I saw.
This pisses me off much more than not being able to advertise on overture and google. The only thing that makes me happy about it is that yahoo will earn even less money.

InactiveJust to clarify: the sites that you submitted through Ineedhits and the other place. Were they accepted to Sitematch, or are they still sitting in limbo?

Guestyes, what above asked?
and so does that mean you can’t submit your sites to the free search results part of their databases?

GuestCan I get a refund if I choose to discontinue this service?
The $49 review fee per unique host and any subsequent URL fees for Site Match are non-refundable. However, any remaining “deposits” for click results are refundable after all clicks are determined. You can choose to discontinue the service by notifying infoSpider in writing, and your site’s URLs will be removed from the Index.Back to the FAQs
Are there any restrictions on the type of content that can be submitted?
All submissions must conform to Overture’s Submission Policy. Overture must be able to access your page. Overture reserves the right in its sole discretion to adjust the ranking of search results for any web page and to remove listings of web pages if it believes people are abusing the Overture site. In addition, the following content may not be acceptable and may result in your web page being removed:Pages that are fraudulent, illegal, harm accuracy, diversity or relevance of search results.
In response to a court order or other judicial or governmental request or action.
It may not generate error messages such as “File not Found” or 404 error.
The URL must not redirect the user to another page (doorway pages).
The web page must not require a user name, password, cookie or other authentication for access.
The web page must not be on a secure server (e.g., https).
Domain names, titles, or descriptions that are vulgar, obscene, illegal, such as bestiality, cannibalism, pedophilia, prostitution services, illegal drugs, etc…
Cloaking or Stealth pages, delivering one page to search engines and another to the user.
Pages that use excessive pop-ups, interfering with user navigation.I don’t see anything about gambling on there. but there is the one line about anything illegal.

InactiveLook into the actual terms and conditions, not the FAQ. As for whether or not my sites got listed… all of the sites that i paid for on march 1st including nongambling ones are still no where to be found. In fact ever since yahoo decided to run inktomi that search engine has gone to hell and is not updating properly.

GuestHi,
It seems like I did and it took me to FAQ and vice-versa. but I might be remembering wrong, wouldn’t be the first time.
That sucks and I’m sorry for all that have been taken on this ride.
I actually thought it might get better with Yahoo (Overture, don’t know about Inktomi) but apparently its not.
