vladcizsolMemberI probably still have sites with pops running simply because I havent bothered to remove them, but I dont believe may people see pop ups anymore so the point is kind of moot.
On the sites where I run frequent updates I removed pop ups last year.

InactiveI don’t use them and I never have. When I go to a site and there are pop-ups I always think it is a spammy site and usually leave pretty fast.

InactiveThere’s an affiliate manager on here in the last month who was so proud that his company had found a way (using javascript) to force pop-ups on everyone that would get through blockers … (can’t remember who).
:spam4:He justified it by saying he’d do anything to make a buck …
(actually I think he said “he’s just pushing the envelope” … but we all knew what he meant)
sneaky.gifLet’s say that he did NOT get a positive reception.

InactiveI look at it like this. I hate pops, I hate sites that use pops. Everyone I’m around enough to know their browsing preferences feels the same. That makes it an easy decision for me.
Oh, and exit pops always seemed like “giving up” to me. Rather than desparately trying to get that click as they head off to the rest of cyberspace, why not just work on building better content so they have more reason to bookmark and come back? I’ll get ’em the second time around.
