CAP has been my home for a very long time and I am still here constantly. :hattip:

The fact is that CAP had been charging fees that were too high, and so the certification is being competely changed.

A new process will be announced within the first part of April and it will change everything for the programs, it will be a lot more manageable for them.

Meanwhile things are a bit in flux. Hopefully you will bear with it for that couple of weeks.

You got that right. Not sure how much longer I want to hang around here either.

My view is that if the Professor was not allowed to be part of the community then neither should Warren, but obviously my view means little to nothing around here now that Lou is banned and he was the one to bring me on and the reason that I offered to moderate in the first place.

I was asked to do a poll a few weeks ago by several folks, but decided that it would be worthless as IMO there is no chance that anyone here would fight or even want that so why even go there and I’m done defending CAP after finding out I was lied to. :flush:

Why aren’t CAP administration and moderators actively participating

I cannot answer for the paid administration but I am not paid I am a volunteer mod and do just that come by here when I have the time or the chance and look in on things. I vacation because it is my life and my business to do what I want when I want, that is why I work for myself and not another.

The slow season is coming and people like to get out feel the fresh air and enjoy their families and I plan to just that enjoy my time with my kids. :hattip:

Warren isn’t part of the community.

It’s up to us to make it something we enjoy.

Do any of you care? CAP has been my “home” since Aug 2008 and the events over the past few months saddens me greatly. … .

Sure Redbush, sure people care. Those who are able to use CAP to generally get more money and benefits for themselves and/or post nearly incoherent posts full of “lmfao” and “imho” crammed full of spam-like links for crappy dime-a-dozen affiliate websites. But since you don’t seem to be one of the nine or ten people that really matters in this clique, it seems unlikely your feelings will be seriously considered to any real effect.

Why? Why? Why? :help: Seems like a question that a lot of us are never going to get answered.

Ah, but CAP and this forum aren’t about answering substantial questions. Nor is CAP the kind of self-regulatory force it should be for our maligned industry. Nah, what CAP is for is to take thousands of dollars from you. In exchange, CAP organizes events and programs subject to cancellation without notice after you’ve plunked down your non-refundable deposits, helps support certain corrupt thieving programs, and of course promotes those lucky 10 or so folks that are in the in crowd. In exchange, you get this forum, in which Warren now generously allows all posters, dissenting or no, to air their opinions. After all, CAP letting a little complaining go on is a lot better (for them) than to actually take action and help their “members” in any tangible way.

Why don’t we do a poll to see who wants the Professor to return? At least he was here every day and commenting on the “dodgey brands, stats are all messed up, etc.

    Excepting his own, surely?

I may not have made myself clear so I’ll try again.

Warren made that choice, the Professor was FORCED out of a forum that he built and maintained by Warren with the help of several folks here.

Leaving the community was not a major sacrafice for Warren being that he was not active in the first place. Atlease if Warren wants to post then he has the option to do so, unless I missed something. :sarcasm:

On the other hand the Professors idenity has been completely wiped from the forum. That is the problem and is the elephant in the room that won’t go away anytime soon.

It’s about being FAIR. If one go they both go. If one is here they both should be here.

Gamtrak, for answers on any of the above you will have to talk to Lou and Warren personally and privately, since there are legal procedures taking place and generally in such situations, neither is allowed to comment.

I certainly can’t comment and am waiting for a resolution the same way you are.

I hope those two can get things figured out soon, it would be nice to have answers from both to a lot of questions we all have.

OsMan, sorry you feel that way. I always enjoyed your posts. CAP is yours to shape, messageboards depend on the members to make them what everyone wants to see. Your feelings on things matter, and your constructive input matters most of all.

Do you have some ideas that would make this a better place for you?

this is rather sinister. if you get no benefit from CAP then what exactly are you doing here?

the fact of the matter is that CAP is a decent communication channel for finding out industry related information and solving problems with affiliate programs. the forum has deteriorated recently but it still fulfills its original purpose for me.

is your post part of the “lmao” and “imho” group too, as you so nicely put?

This site is going to the dogs for the most part. Everytime I come here lately I see people bitching about this whole thing. Why not drop it and let those who need to deal with it do so. If you are unhappy with the end result then stop coming here and move on.

GamTrak, you are well within your right to leave and I suspect if you choose to then it will be fully justified. I know your reputation and the things you have dealt with in the past with hackers etc so you got my support.

Thank you graniteman! I appreciate your kind words and will take your advice because it’s what I feel is best.

I’m not the type to kiss and tell, but this site is no longer a place where I want to be associated or feel comfortable as a moderator with so I may as well give my notice now.

Please consider this my resignation from CAP as a volunteer moderator effective immedately. :hattip:

I think that is a good thing Gamtrak, you haven’t been happy here lately and it’s no good for anyone to hang around when they are not happy.

I wish you all the best, and will see you around the other boards. Please feel free to contact me anytime. :hattip:

I agree, we are all free to come and go as we please, and it doesn’t make sense for anyone who is unhappy to keep aggravating themselves. There will be lots of changes soon, and hopefully they will make those who are unhappy now more satisfied.
