I believe Australia allows online gambling. They were going to block it, but have opted not to.
The Australian Legislation blocks any Australian run online casinos from taking bets from Australians, but that’s it.
Because of this, some individual casinos block Australians from registering – Lasseters being the obvious one, but there are a few others, usually with an Australian connection of some sort that also block Australians from registering.
I play poker daily for several hours and have only been blocked from one casino/poker room.
Some Prima Rooms won’t let Australians play, other than that I’ve had no problems.
I’ve been able to play in most places I’ve tried, with the exception of Lasseters owned casino’s …
Its when you try to *take out* money that you can run into some really dodgy excuses such as “We can’t pay to Australia”.
Aaaaah so you can *take* my money but not give it back?!
Most casino’s that do this don’t seem to stay around long though …
