InactiveDo these names receive any type-in traffic?
January 16, 2006 at 3:22 am #680937Anonymous
InactiveVery few visitors. Only when a famous .com is offline, does the .net get some of it’s traffic. For the moment, the value is the domain itself…
Of course it could be promoted, as it is highly brandable (or reputable casinos wouldn’t have created their brands with those names).January 17, 2006 at 3:03 am #681033Anonymous
InactiveThis site e21.com has casino names listed with prices. They do have some choice names for sale. Big prices on some.
January 17, 2006 at 3:23 am #681037Anonymous
InactiveI know that site, and I don’t know if they can actually sell some of those domains… they don’t seem realistic…
January 17, 2006 at 11:24 am #681066Anonymous
InactiveIt looks like the typical high-pressure sales site at e21.com …
Hurry hurry .. discount ends soon
:devil:FiftyUnitedStaes.com for $300K .. WOW … what a bargain.
RoyalBetting.com for $14,200 … let me buy it immediately.
:laughcry:Over on the Adult side you can buy SexyMagazine.com for a million!!
Or perhaps you prefer eSportsBook.com for $2.5m ?
And I bet they accept PAYPAL too …
:laughcry:On their FAQs ….
– We don’t charge a fee becuase you’re dealing direct with the owners.
– We are independant impartial, fair and honest. That’s right … when I’m selling something I always value it at a fair and impartial price.
:laughcry:The funniest thing … what sort of domain name is e21.com for domain name sellers? Really? That’s the BEST you could come up with ?
:laughcry:
Seriously though …Most if the domain is not .com then it’s probably going to sell as a small multiple of it’s existing traffic / revenue.
For parked .net domains that get neither … why would anyone pay ?

InactiveIt is pretty easy to see a selling scheme in place at e21.com there are more listed at supernames.com. Some of the names could be used to try help you determine what you want to ask for your names.

InactiveBut you can’t appraise your own domains looking at prices like that. If you do it, you won’t sell them… They are asking a million dollars and more, for domains that I wouldn’t pay $10. But there are buyers for everything, of course.
As to my domains, I know that .net is worth a lot less than .com
Even if I see reputable companies using .net domains, I know that it’s better to have a .com
But sometimes that isn’t possible, because the .com is registered for more than 10 years! So .net domains have their value. So, nobody knows how much these domains are worth, not because of their traffic, but because of the domain itself? Just don’t tell me reg fee

InactiveI would say the value is just the reg fee. Sorry

InactiveIf you use the free tool at swiftappraisal.com for deluxecasino.net and it depends on the information you enter this is the value it comes up with $750.00 – $1100.00. Your .net is depending on the .com to bring its value up.

Your .net is depending on the .com to bring its value up.Well Having run through that system it’s interesting but very subjective. You rate your own domain name on a series of very generic questions.
My domain scored $44-$65K … and it never asked about exisiting trafic of revenues at all.
I cannot beleive that my domain GoonersGuide.Com is worth that much as an off-the-shelf no traffic domain … yet I was being honest (as I could be) in the answers
But it was a very intersting tool … good link …

InactiveReg fee just because it’s a .net? I respect your opinion, but that’s really out :p
I have some .net that I wouldn’t sell for $10.000 because I’ve earned much more than that with them, eheh! My main casino site is a .net, and I earned some good money with it.
And there are big companies using .net domains. Thanks anyway
I respect all opinions!January 18, 2006 at 11:32 pm #681263Anonymous
InactiveAs to the automatic appraisal system, you know you can’t trust them

I paid appraisals from Godaddy and Afternic in the past, and I know that they are always away from the current domain market. I’ve seen them appraise very low or very high. They are really just a curiosity

InactiveA domain name itself shouldn’t cost much if there is nothing behind it. Traffic, reputation- that is a different story!
Imagine, how much effort, energy and time one needs to put into a web project to make it big! By this time it is not just an empty domain, but a web site.
Even these days you can find nice .com and .net domain names at whois.sc for under $10. I would not buy any name above that price (unless it is Google or Yahoo!).January 19, 2006 at 1:04 am #681274Anonymous
InactiveEverybody has their way of thinking and doing business. I really buy domains for medium prices, but usually the owners exaggerate and ask $40000. And I would gladly buy the .com versions of some .net I have

InactiveIt’s all in the eye of the beholder.
I like .coms that can be remembered because I believe in branding.
Many many of us do not believe in branding and will use http://www.xcv.hub to build a great gambling site that makes a good profit.
It all depends on what you want to do, how you plan to market, and also who you are. For a casino or poker the name is a lot more important.
