I had a player at Havana Club quite awhile ago that had deposited 8k and won 10k. Requested cash out on the 10k and charged back the 8k. Lucky the casino caught this prior to paying the player. Now is this player on a ” list”. I am sure somewhere.
This kind of thing happens and casinos have to be careful. So denial of a bonus, may be for other reasons.July 10, 2004 at 5:55 am #651859Anonymous
InactiveWell I think that goes without saying…
Charge backs are a completely different ball game. That’s just a plain fraudster, wise a$$, and so NOT a bonus abuser.July 10, 2004 at 5:55 am #651860Anonymous
InactiveThere is no one here who knowingly pays more for something than they have to.
Picture it :: Funfair – coconut shye A – 3 balls for 50p, what you knock off you win.
Coconut shye B – 3 balls for £1, what you knock off you win.
Play on shye B anyone?
To gamble without a bonus is to do just that when there are 2000 casinos to choose from.

Someone who gambles at a casino who’s only express objective is to collect and withdraw a cash bonus. These folks specialize in knowing the exact terms and conditions of each offer and developing a playing strategy specifically targeted at collecting the bonus.
Thats called a “bonus player,” unfortunately casinos consider these players “bonus abusers,” although no wrong doing was in place.
A “bonus abuser” is a person who violates an individual casinos terms and conditions in refrence to bonuses. Unfortunately most casinos have vague terms and conditions, (which they are well aware of) and choose to abuse there power when it comes to handling “bonus players.”

InactiveI have to jump in on this ,ive been watching from afar and i have to post my 2 cents worth
Casinos usually wont give a freebie bonus for a variety of good reasons. They dont usually monitor where a player comes from in terms of wether it is an Affiliate client or not.The Call centre staff usually dish this out and they do not have access to that kind of info ,well at leasst not at my places.
Why would a Casino not give Bonus –
Previous Chargebacks
Opening of Multiple AccountsBonus abusers have wrecked the promo manager system on MGS casinos, people used to be able to claim their free bonuses instantly but because of the fact that where there is money fraudsters follow it has ruined it for everyone .nowadays when you want a free bonus you have to wait at least 24 hours ,in some cases less.
Remember that these people cost you money in the end as well with all of the shenanigans that they pull
Do you honestly think a Casino would turn away the chance to convert a player with even the remotest possibility that he might purchase ,
Me thinks NOT
Well thats my 2 cents worth -have a great day guys

InactiveWithin the same software group sometimes that will happen especially if they chargeback ,if its at the same Casino group you can belive that they wont get another freebie .
Thats like shooting yourself in the foot .Who in their right minds would do that
Promo abusers are a fact within the industry and the sooner that people get to realize that the better we will be able to handle these things inthe future

InactiveI was trying to talk about INNOCENT NEWBIES being affected by the bonus abuse situation.
People who have never played before are the ones who are hurt by this, not people who are denied bonuses.
People who deposit, play, get a bonus, play, win and try to cash out. And cannot cash out because they had no idea they were not supposed to play what they like but what is dictated by the casinos to avoid bonus abuse.
These are first time players I am talking about. They think online casinos STEAL.
There should be a choice every player HAS to make as they sign up. To get or not to get a bonus, and what the ramifications are if you do get one. I bet 80% of first time players would decline the bonus if they knew they would not be allowed to play what they like and cash out when they want. These are first time real players, hobby players, players for entertainment.
The bonus abuse situation is handled very badly. The persons least deserving of suffering consequences are the ones who do. The future of online gaming suffers because of wagering requirments sprung on ignorant newbies.

Don’t offer automatic bonuses – make it something the player has to request – before they accept the bonus they have to agree to TOS etc … simple! Then if they try and cash out but havent met the requirements the casinos could say – look heres the TOS you agreed upon prior to getting the “bonus” …
Either that or dont give a bonus in the first place just improve the comp/vip/reward programs!

InactiveI do agree you should have a CHOICE to whether or not you want to accept a bonus. I know there were a few playtech casinos that pissed me off because I had deposited and DIDN’T want a bonus and got one anyway. I wanted to play with my money only. I think the automatic bonuses are a form of player abuse because it is unfair on the casino’s part to ASSUME that all want the 100, 200% bonus. So I can certainly see your point Dominique. 6 years ago when I was new to online gambling I NEVER looked at the t&c’s, didn’t know I had to….didn’t know what they were.
