InactiveOh my God!!! Really? I’m sorry to hear that I will tell my friend he will be shocked!!
I know it is not a 5 stars hotel but when I went there 6 months ago I was at their steakhouse restaurant and it looks like a very nice hotel, I must admit I didn’t stay there as I stayed at my friend’s house, but I thought it is ok, and the food was excellent!!
If you are looking for luxury it isn’t a luxurious place it is comfortable to stay for the night to have a warm shower and great food then most of the time you spend at the convention anyway which is near by. Plus the offer he gave me is very attractive. I’m thinking to consider that for myself and to attend the convention so I wouldn’t offer anything bad for my friends. I will be embarrassed if you would go there and wouldn’t enjoy your stay.
MissM :rasta:mediahut wrote:Further to Miss M’s post, in MY personal opinion, I would avoid this hotel unless you are not that fussy, or IF it has changed a LOT from 3 years ago.I ended up there after a booking error lesft me “homeless”, but iI would have rather stayed in the cardboard box
The rooms were appalling, not clean and suitable (IMHO) only for a stag party

InactiveDon’t worry MissM and thanks! There are other places, but they are Expensive:
The OKURA is one….Insanely Expensive, but a 5 Star Hotel.
The Intercontinental is another.
There is a Hilton near the Convention Center and a Few Hotels adjacent to the Convention Center.
As I said, THE GRAND is an amazing hotel, and within a 3-5 minute walk from the Krasnapolsky. – See http://www.thegrand.nl
Also Check hotels.com – Look for hotels near CENTRAL STATION. That is a 5-10 minute walk from the Krasnapolsky.

InactiveHey guys,
Once I offer my assistance I’m getting addicted.. sorry.. but as I used to work in the hotel industry I feel obliged to help as I finally found a way to give something back to you guys  .
I got a special offer from a friend in Victoria hotel 160 Euro per night per room. Before I’ll ask him to keep rooms I thought I should ask you guys if you are interested? in the meanwhile I also ask other friends in the industry to help finding special prices in the 5 stars hotels nearby (gave them the list of hotels Marc wrote on this thread).
Please tell me what you think,
MissM :rasta:

I stayed at this hotel last month. It is a nice hotel, about a ten minute walk from the krasnapolsky. it also is right across the street from what (IMHO) is one of the best “brown cafes” in the area.
Small but tidy rooms, Nice balconies overlooking the road, Efficient service, average restaurant, good for a quick lunch. it is also right next to the Flower Market so if you are into that kinda stuff, make sure you leave room in your case for a pack of a hundred bulbs !!!
