GuestI forgot to mention something about the SciFi system. They have been running things like this for the last 2 years. They very, very rarely use automatic coupons. What this does is, if the player is looking to redeem a bonus, it forces them to contact CS via live chat which is always answered in a matter of seconds or minutes. During this chat, the terms are usually hammered out, at which point the player can accept it or back out.
There are a few occassions when things are not communicated as well as they should, but they always try to make sure the terms are understaood before they let anyone accept a bonus.January 9, 2004 at 2:10 pm #643330bb1webs
GuestHi Jeff,
hope your new year is going well.
so what is the deal on the bonuses?
are you saying then that the player can jump back and forth between the required bonus play and say….. the blackjack table; and it won’t work against them?

GuestBB1,
So far, so good on the New Year. Always looking for better, but happy with what I have. The kids had fun over x-mas, and we’re all looking forward to a warm winter in Costa Rica.
About the bonus, it really doesn’t matter which order a player plays the games in. We can determine wagers on each type of game and as long as they have the slots play in there somewhere, things are good. Players can jump around as much as they want.
Did you get my email about that other thing?
Thanks

InactiveCould we kindly get this thread back on track?
I think it is a very important thread, I don’t want it to be derailed.
We were talking about why aquisition in the industry was in trouble, and I am still waiting to hear the opinions of many others on the subject.
Nothing so far has addressed how one can avoid having newbies go through two very extensive signups revealing way too much personal information.
Personally, I never fill in a correct phone or social security number, and I use a po box.
I am still not comfortable with the signup despite of these precautions.
People who fill all this in and then get their Credit Card rejected (are they really still the major method of payment? Mine don’t work!) and have to fill all that out all over again must not be feeling an urge to play when all that is done with.
It’s enough to make you depressedor frustrated if you get declined, even if you know your credit is great. It’s a turnoff.
Conversions are the pits and I would like to see some serious discussion about changes of all the items contributing to this mess.
Worst comes to worst, people go and find a message board like wol, with all the complaints there about crooked casinos. Most of that comes from the bonus system and wagering requirements.
In an effort to keep a few abusers out of a flawed system, all the honest new players are turned away.
What can we do about it? Are mostly non-US nationals able to use credit cards? Should one ask a person for country of origin and then route them to the appropriate payment method?

InactiveHi guys,
It seems to me that alot of the casinos, RTG especially who are coupon crazed use these bonuses not only to attract the bonus hunters and new customer but to also screw affiliates out of money by taking it from our revenue….in turn they know they aren’t going to statistically lose money or have to payout the majority of these customers anyways, they take more from us by reducing our net profit and revenue from the deductions, we make less, and the casino ends up with even more since they actually see all the money even with the bonuses since the customers most likely will lose the bonus that the casino gave and the deposits made too….
I spoke with one of the aff. managers at a RTG who even agreed with me, said he wished they could do something different, but that’s just the way it is….
I wish the bonus frenzy would go away and players would just realize it’s more fun and way easier to bet without a bonus .

InactiveI had a great experience with PartyPoker.com related to this.
My credit card declined when I tried to add money to my account.
I no sooner got the “declined” message on my screen than someone from PartyPoker had called me and walked me through a website where I could buy a prepaid calling card to add the funds to my account with.
If every casino did that every time a cc declined–wow!

vladcizsolMemberExcellent point Randy.
If RTG and Microgaming and Playtech followed the retention team’s lead at iGlobal (Party Poker) then I bet we would all see a 70% rise in revenue.
Seems like easy money too, you hire two or three college girls to call immediately and the costs are minimal.

InactiveiGlobal has a casino in addition to their bingo and poker rooms.
Does anyone have any experience with them?

vladcizsolMemberThree years ago I made a ton of money with several of their casinos.
Back then Gold Key Casino, Starluck, Lady Luck and Zantana were collectively netting me over $10K per month. Then for some reason they suddenly stopped producing revenues for affiliates (My earliest exposure to shaving) so I phased them out as did most other people.
I am pretty sure old timers like Antoine or maybe Badabing could tell you a similar story or two….
I had heard they had made a comeback for some people early last year, but I never expanded their casino exposure.
I have been doing well with Party Poker though so thats a good sign…

InactiveAlthough I am a newbie to all of this and can’t compare stats historically I can say that Starluck definately has produced good numbers thus far and out of the casinos I work with they have had some of the highest numbers of deposits….
Their payout structure is really cool too now because you can go and request a cashin when ever you want too and deposit it into your accounts, neteller , orany method you choose, when you choose.

InactiveI’m pretty pleased with PartyPoker and PartyBingo, although I think their reporting (especially PartyBingo), was pretty lackluster.

GuestHi,
word or warning to you Chips. watch yourself when dealing with IGlobal. I too have a long memory and I don’t forget it when I get screwed without vaseline any time soon.
what’s worse; is Starluck has a bad rep with players. (at least I’ve gotten a ton of mail about them, some of which was about non-payment). Smaller portals most of all, cannot afford to lose the loyalty of their players because they were sent to a shitty-run operation.
Iglobal has dug their grave with me and as far as I’m concerned they can rot in it.
I’m currently running party poker and am so-so satisfied with their results. I won’t touch their casinos.
I akin this business to that of dating. If you put your eggs in the basket of someone that is a proven cheat; yes, they may prove to be faithful to you, but past behavior is a proven prediction of what to expect in the future.
if you’d seen some gal screw 2 or 3 (or in this case, many people) … screw them over; and I’ll put it this way to really get the message across; if you had seen this gal go to a bar with your friend, and then drop him like a hot potato because she got a better offer and she left with some other guy; would you be in a hurry to put yourself in a position to have the same thing done to you come next Saturday night? think about it hard.
nuff said.

well if she is a door knob where everyone gets a turn then that is one thing but if you think she is a thoroughbred then you were mislead and I pity you if you take her for another swing thinking that the door will work different the next time.
