As I mentioned, the email was from Sierra Star Casino, not BetRev itself.

    Dear Elizabeth

As you know, Congress has passed a Bill which prohibits the acceptance of any payment instrument for the use of internet gambling. As a result, our payment processor has, with immediate effect, ceased to process any payments for US residents. This may have resulted in your being unable to make any deposit with us and if so, we apologize for any inconvenience.

We are exploring other avenues to ensure that you can continue to play in our casino on an uninterrupted basis.

We will communicate with you again shortly.

    Kind Regards
    Sandra – Sierra Star

Interesting notice on Black Widow, Sterling House and Grand Banks (Playtech Software, Rich Webmaster Affiliate Program):

    Dear U.S.A Customer,

If you are currently residing in the United States, you unfortunately will not be able to wager with us any longer. This is due to the recent enactment of the ‘Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act’ passed by the Bush Administration on September 30, 2006.

Your account will be closed on Thursday, October 18th, 2006 at 2400 GMT. Of course your funds will be available to you in your account and we are planning a conversion to BreakAway Casino so you can still enjoy great online casino entertainment. Please check your mailbox on Thursday for an exiting offer!

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to contact us.

Thanks Amateur. That’s the same statement as released by BetRev, which is why I’m leaving them as ‘staying’ for now. Basically it appears that their intention is to stay, however they have currently been cut off by their payment processor. I would therefore assume that if they can resolve it, they will be back to business as normal. I will monitor the situation and update as necessary.

And thanks very much for the Grand Banks tip off, I’ll add that to the list. I’ve never heard of BreakAway Casino, I will research them and add their casino(s) to the list. EDIT:
Of course, BreakAway is RTG. I don’t really understand that announcement then, are Grand Banks et al merging with Break Away Casino and its group? I can understand that Grand Banks might move to RTG, but I don’t get the reference to a seemingly unrelated RTG casino. I will look into it.

    Hi Howard,

Please add SportsPulse powered sportsbooks as staying in the US market. They are currently:
    SuperiorBook.com
    BetEmpire.com (Empire Sportsbook)

    Thanks

They have all been recently purchased and are related.

Breakaway and Scifi are some of the best RTG.

Since the Playtechs are unable to accept US players, they are sending them to the RTGs.

    Makes sense.
