    Hi All,

As you know, a major issue of contention has been the matter of cross-marketing, and how this affects affiliates and the players linked to them.

I know that this matter has escalated into one of great concern amongst all affiliates, specifically related to commissions, how players are linked, and what actions are taken with regards to cross-marketing of players within the group.

    Grand Prive cross-marketing strategy:

I would firstly like to address the question on strategy. The Grand Prive group has committed to a policy that NO affiliate-linked player will be targeted or approached in relation to any cross-marketing campaigns that are run internally. We have worked with the casinos in the creation of systems and procedures, which have now been set in place, to ensure that any affiliate-linked players are flagged and excluded from any cross-marketing campaigns. It should be understood that there may be instances where players, who belong to an affiliate, receive some form of media related to the Grand Prive group or a casino within the group, but that this will never be as a result of efforts on the part of the casinos to actively target that player. The casinos work with various third party marketing companies and publishers who do run CD and email campaigns, and there may be instances where an affiliate player is on the database/s owned by these third party companies. We cannot prevent this from happening, and we are confident that these instances, if any, would be few and far between. We will endevour to manage this and communicate more effectively in future on instances of this nature, to ensure that any confusion or misunderstandings are avoided.

    Who owns the player:

The other major area of concern that I have seen is the ownership of affiliate referred players, and the resulting commissions. A player is owned by the affiliate who referred him/her, at the casino he/she was referred to, and that the affiliate will earn commission on play (Net Profit) generated at that casino. If the same player is referred to another casino within the group by another affiliate, then that affiliate will own the player at that casino, and will earn commission on any resulting play (Net Profited) generated at that casino.

To illustrate this clearly in an example:

    1. Affiliate A refers player Mr. X to Casino Grand Bay.
    2. Affiliate A earns commission on the Net Profit generated by Mr. X at Casino Grand Bay.
    3. Mr. X then joins Bella Vegas Casino via the website of Affiliate B.
    4. Affiliate B then owns Mr. X at Bella Vegas Casino and will earn commission on Net Profit generated at Bella Vegas.
    5. Should Mr. X then decide to join Lake Palace Casino (or any other within the group) of his own accord, without doing so via an affiliate link, then the affiliate will be owned by Affiliate A, and Affiliate A will earn revenue on Net Profit generated at Lake Palace casino as well.

On point 5 above, the reason we have taken this stance is to be as fair as possible. The affiliate who first referred the player to the Grand Prive group will be linked to the player, should the player decide to join a casino within the group without doing so via any affiliate link or website, as it was that affiliate who originally introduced the player to the group.

    Conclusion:

We have done our absolute best to be as fair as possible to all our affiliates. The Single Player Sign-on has created a fair number of challenges in relation to the affiliate program, who owns a player, and who is compensated accordingly, but we have looked at this from every possible angle, and have come up with a solution that we regard as being as fair as possible to all concerned.

I hope that we have now been able to set your fears to rest on this matter, and the manner in which players are linked.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further clarity.

This sounds great to me:) I do have questions, when is this considered in place?

Will the players we have sent over the last yr to this GP be tagged to affiliates if they joined other casinos from there?

Will there be a way to notify the affiliate when the player decides to open an account at another casino within the group?

    Thanks in advance..

I will wait to see the following changes before promoting the group again.

-Player is owned by the affiliate #1 who brought them into Casino #1
-Player is owned by affiliate #2 if Affiliate #2 brings player into Casino #2
-Player who (somehow??) signs up to Casino #3 or more with NO AFFILIATE TAG belongs to affiliate #1

    This is not rocket science

I think that’s what it says above, but am watching here to make sure.

no, it does not say that. it only says they will not go after people with an affiliate already.

And how do you manage to see this in a diffrent way?
I have read it 3 times and come to the conclusion that it says what you are asking for.

    Hi All,

The policy and changes have been implemented with immediate effect.

We are running an audit on all affiliate players to ensure that we link those affiliate players who have joined other casinos without any external source (affiliate tag), to the affiliate who first introduced them to the group.

We are looking to implement a few other reports, of which one will be a player report. This will allow you to see not only the performance of your players, but to also track player movements within the group. We will try to implement a “flagging” system to help you easily identify when players move casinos. I will provide further feedback on the implementation of that at a later time.

allfreechips: the manner in which you want players linked is exactly the same as we see it.

Thanks to all for their questions and feedback. Effective communication certainly helps to resolve issues while reducing risks of confusion and frustration, so it is my aim that we ensure open and honest lines of communication not only on CAP, but through all other means as well. I hope I have addressed all issues that have been raised. Please let me know if I missed anything.

    Have a great weekend!

well, i don’t worry so much about the therms/rules, the main problem is the revenue I can generate with a specific program. And now I see that revenue is back to normal (in comparison to last summer). Thanks Kamiel. Just my 2c :)

    Hi Kamiel,

I am glad to see that the things mentioned above are taking place and again, I’m very happy that you have joined Miles and Irwin at GP!

I’d like to thank you and Miles for resolving the issues and questions that I had regarding my account by providing me with information I needed to be sure that my players are tracked correctly to my satisfaction.

I’m willing to continue to promote Grand Prive’ and I trust that other affiliates that have concerns or problems are taken care of to the satisfaction of both parties.

Hope to meet up with you guys at CAC Amsterdam in April. :hattip:

BTW can you please provide a reply to my post here please? Hopefully this will be the an issue that can be resolved asap. :)
