InactiveSome good video coverage of the incident on CNN

5 short videos in the story content
Its interesting, there has been a move going on for a while to hunt down sting rays, they eat crabs and lobsters which are valuable to those fisherman who catch them and sell them to the public
Here’s a disturbing opinion from the Aussie newspaper The Guardian
“The animal world has finally taken its revenge on Irwin, but probably not before a whole generation of kids in shorts seven sizes too small has learned to shout in the ears of animals with hearing 10 times more acute than theirs, determined to become millionaire animal-loving zoo-owners in their turn.”

A tribute is being set up by the Discovery Channel, a 24 hour Crocodile Hunter marathon, and donations are being accepted that go to preserve wildlife in Steve’s name
As well, it appears that Steve’s friend and manager will carry on his work and take over his role as animal activist

InactiveI was in shock when i saw the news, i cried, and will probably cry again for his family and friends, Just think, if a man we never meet, can touch us in a way that we mourn his death, imagine what his family and friends must be going through?
A wonderful father, who so loved his children and a wonderful husband, and a heart that had to be good, to of taken such good care of wild animals all his life and dedicate himself to such a great cause. I will very much miss him, his livelyness and humor, and his love of nature.
what a shame.

InactiveFolk taking revenge on the beaches of Oz by cutting off the tails of Stingray’s is not what Steve would have wanted.
Sometimes I despair with human beings.
