Spam is shocking – you can set up a blog where you can approve/deny comments but then genuine users may not like it

You make such a great point, rmeeuwsen! I swear… the comments that do come through are pretty amazing.

Back in the day, I worked with a ton of email affiliates and at the bottom of the campaigns they would be running, they would include these weird, spammy verses. I wish I knew the technical ins and outs… but there is something associated with the amount of content and what is written that actually helps with the ISPs to increase the chance for the message to get delivered & (hopefully) inboxed. Pretty nuts…

But one would assume that a comment would have a bigger chance of being approve it had at least some meaning to it?

Gotta love to hate the idiots who think posting prescription drug info on another persons totally unrelated forum is the cool thing to do! IDIOTS!

Yep, love to hate those too … “I found this post very useful thanks for making it.” Well I might accept that comment if it werent for the inclusion of your crappy url youre trying to get linked. LMAO!

I have several SPAM measures in place including admin approval so these idiots never get their crap posted, but I gotta think there are thousands of blogs out there where they are getting their stuff posted. I wish there was a spamcop for blog spammers!

    Aint’ it the truth.

I was trying to fool my spammers by redirectiing them to another website of mine by using a redirect wordpress plugin – so I shut off the spam blocker on one site and got 600 spam comments the next day – but none of those were redirected – so I quess it does not work with the software they are using —- DANG!!!
