If your site is not attracting low-rent players then Net Revenue is definately the way to go. Get one WHALE casino player and you will understand.

    $150? $250? Peanuts!
The monthly payout can be 100x or 200x the prospective CPA fee for that ONE player.

Let’s also look at it another way.

Under CPA, a casino is prepared to pay you a fee upfront, and then retain 100% ownership and profitability of that player – despite the player being largely unqualified at that stage. The casino takes the full risk of profitability and yet is prepared to pay that $150 – $250 CPA.

Why do you think that is? Is the CASINO being a charity for affiliates perhaps? HARDLY!

BE smart – and work with quality partners – and then take your rev-share.
You’ll be thanking me in 6 months time!

I agree with Gooner. Get a whale and you will mock CPA from then on. I remember doing a retrospective calculation of my commissions if I did a CPA instead of a rev share. I would have made less than half if I did cpa (using the highest CPA I’ve seen).

I know some larger US affiliates prefer the CPA deal for legal reasons, which is fine. If you are only looking for revenue then rev share is the way to go in my opinion.

In case of CPA being chosen , there is always going to be someone getting the raw deal. It is best to choose Revenue Share.

You need to take the deal that matches the casino you are promoting. There are some casinos that suck, players use them once and never go back to them, in that case you can pick CPA IMO, good retention casinos will definitely have to get RevShare as a permanent deal!

WTF? If some casinos suck then why on earth are you promoting them and burning potentially valuable customers?

When i said “they suck” i meant they don’t have a good retention rate…

I think Rev share is the best…

I am not promoting casinos yet, but it seems the immense majority is rev share, so I will go with the flow.

We only do revshare and nothing else, however with some few poker rooms CPA would have been the better deal for us at the moment.

For Casino and Sportsbetting, it is Revshare all the way, IMHO

    Bingo, I have no idea what’s best…

We do revenue share whenever possible preferring to take a long view strategy. For casinos and sportsbooks revenue share is definitely the right choice. The instance where you are catering to bonus chasers does provide a reason for thinking CPA, but the programs don’t generally like that sort of traffic on a CPA deal and will probably close your account anyway.

A case can be made for CPA in poker. Poker Stars for instance only offers CPA, so we went with that, and we have made more promoting their site in the past 6 months than we have at a site like Full Tilt over the past 3 years.

Pokerstars used to only offer CPA. In the meantime they also offer revshare to some affiliates. In case that interests you, I recommend you speak to your aff manager at Stars. Personally the 2 card rooms I would definitely always do Revshare with are FT and Stars as they tend to keep the players forever or at least for longer.

revshare for sure.. it will help compensate if your traffic takes a hit – plus its just more money at the end of the day, as long as you are sending quality players..
