InactiveAre you sure that you don’t mean trademark rather than copyright. A domain would be trademarked, a literary work would be copyrighted
I believe that their are some mechanisms in place to trademark across several countries, European Union for example, but you would most likely have to apply to individual countries for the remainder.

InactiveYou are looking to trademark the name. You will need to register in each country, individually(maybe all in 1 in EU), where you want the mark. Unless you have an extra $100k to spend on lawyers, i would suggest just trademarking in your home country and major market.
I’ve had a lawyer tell me in the case of my lottery brand, i don’t need to file for a trademark. I created the site and have operated with the name since 1998 and there is plenty of evidence. Based on that, how could someone demonstrate that they were using the name first.
Finally if you’re going to try to trademark “BetOnlineNow” for example, could you defend it in court, if say betting online is illegal?

CaptainetteMemberThanks for the input, AmCan & geoffvro!
As a matter of fact, I am truly referring to trademark and not copyright, but I guess this proves how much knowledge I have in this field.
I will contact someone in my relevant countries to see what I need to do. I was hoping that there is some sort of worldwide institution for this, but that probably does not make much sense. I will rather try to manifest my name in my most important countries now, as you suggested. -
