gerelasMemberThat’s funny, Jill! We’re on the opposite schedule! I check site traffic from the day before first thing in the morning, even before I get to my emails!

InactiveHeres mine, not cool or wierd but here is my ritual.
Fire up the mac, check my email and take care of that, then go to CAP, then GPWA, then I check to see if there are new banners from my partners, then I check my stats from statcounter, the best stat counter I have found, tons of info and it is 100% FREE. Check it out……. N E way, then I go to my website and work on that.
Do I need a life or what?

InactiveI wake up, put the coffee on and check emails and skype as it brews. Then I’ll either answer emails or check stats as I have my first cup. I also check my emails and skype before going to bed as well as take a quick peek at some stats. I was a bit OCD with stats and have been trying to break myself of that.

InactiveAs I work throughout the day I write down everything I do, and at the bottom of the done list, I put a list of things I want to do, should do, have to do.
When the day comes to an end, I have a list of accomplishments, and it gives an idea if I got bogged down on anything. I like to see things checked off and accomplished. I then move my “things to do, should, have to” to the next days list of things to take care.
The list is quite big .. about 30 items, because a new day brings emails and more urgent issues.

You are all ‘nuts’.
In the morning, I turn on the laptop in my bedroom and get that started working on some auto tasks.
Then I put out the little dog out the garage door, turn to the family room to flip on my desktop / then my wives desktop (apparently it only works on facebook) and then put out the big dog through the dining room door, throw some leftover coffee in microwave and then load up the dogs dishes. A sad & pitiful but workable routine.
My last thoughts at night are ‘what am I going to do tommorrow to make money’.

Great, as long as you don’t bum a fag or go to the loo in your teacup.

InactiveFag?? Loo??
And these mean???????????????????????
March 17, 2012 at 2:33 pm #822547Anonymous
InactiveOnly if you ‘mean’ toilet and cigarette.
I thought fag was slang for cigarette in the UK (but looked it up to be sure)
Loo I knew was slang for toilet/ restroom/ ‘the head’/ the John/ the can / potty / porcelain bowlIdioms and language are funny
boot = ‘das boot’ boat in German, the trunk of a car in England , ‘get the boot’ is get fired/terminated/discharged/laid off in the US
trunk = elephant trunk, suitcase,
terminated = fired, killedSo you don’t want to confuse the tea cup with the loo

InactiveYes interesting indeed. We (those who have parents and/or grandparents from Italy) also have words that are unique to us, as I guess most nationality/ethnic type folks do.
For toilet/Loo, we call it the Ba-Cowze, LOL, not too sure of the spelling. The reason behind it is when the old timers came out from Italy, most coundnt afford housing with good indoor plumbing, so the “Head, John, restroom, was just a little shack the size of a phonebooth which was in back of the house.
So, if you say backhouse really fast with an Italian/English accent, you get Ba-Cowz.
LMAO, I’m sure your all very interested in that.

bosshoggsMemberThis is hilarious! Thanks for sharing.
And… I have to admit… I’m pretty impressed with everyone’s “Cool & Quirky” habits. Question: Do you feel off course if you don’t follow your little morning or evening rituals on a day-to-day basis?

InactiveNot feeling regular in the morning. If you watch TV here in the States you might be tempted to try some yogurt.
Or, to make a course correction and start the day right, some bran may help. All I know is that if I do not have my coffee I feel like one of the ‘walking dead’ (as someone else refered to in another post)
A zombie walking and just going on instinct… -
