InactiveDaniel, in your example my opinion is that the second affiliate should get the credit. Sure, place a cookie but make it so that it is overwritten if the player comes in subsequently from another site. This avoids the unscrupulous(?) practice of using methods to open the casino without the visitor knowing and the cookie being placed. Using 1×1 frames and other methods have been used in the past.
This was a hot topic among affiliates back 18-24 months ago I think. Anyone else please correct me if I have got this wrong.
The life of the cookie is also another consideration, even if the player never comes in from another site.

vladcizsolMemberI agree with James the last referring affiliate should get the player as its his/her click thru that generated the sale…
I do like cookies though and if a cookie is set by an affiliate then UNLESS it’s overwritten by another ad channel the sale should count even if the client returns at a later date and completes the sale.

InactiveI have to agree its the only way to stop cookie scripts …. I have always loved the download scripts as a way to make sure I get credit LOL
no it is not the most ethical way to get credit but on the other hand it helps the ad budget !!!!

InactiveMy vote is the second affiliate definately!!
I wish that there could be a way to actually track it down to when the client makes the first deposit. Often with alot of people seeking bonuses in the beginning (We have all been there at one point) they will signup but never play at the casino for a long time. Like many others I used to be a new player and seeking out the free chip was a fun way to play. But I would not play at many of the places and just uninstall. Now that I am a more seasoned vet with gambling I deposit at a group of places but definatley wouldnt of credited the affiliates that probably get credit for mine since some of the places I only recently started to deposit at, I had an account at 3 years ago for a free chip back then……
Hope that makes sense lol
