:roflmao:Just thought I would let out a bit of anger here- All sites that dont include contact us pages on their sites it enrages me!!!!!! Do you not want to offer support to your players. I have been searching today for link partners and many sites it takes me ages to find their email address this should be obvious to the player or webmaster sort it out!!!!
(This email is directed at webmasters who dont include contact us pages on their sites)
Now I feel alot better!
December 15, 2007 at 2:25 pm #756557AnonymousInactiveI just removed the “Contact Us” section from my site after reading this post

December 15, 2007 at 3:32 pm #756564AnonymousInactivei have been thinking of adding contact pages lately. But, any webmaster who wants to contact me can always do a whois on the domain ;p

The last thing i want is a bunch of angry jokers trying to get in touch with me
Seriously, i got rid of the Contact, too many idiots were filling my mailbox with link requests, i’m talking about over 1000 a day, everything from pecker potions to replica watches
I went another way with the linking, i just try to deal with people from this place for example or people i get a good vibe from, instead of entering into a blind deal with somebody who is a complete stranger, it’s a lot less stressful, what’s the point of getting a link from somebody’s page #20 link directory
December 15, 2007 at 4:22 pm #756569AnonymousInactiveMy “contact us” email addresses receive a LOT of spam. I do break up the parts of the email addresses so that it’s difficult for bots to interpret — i.e. I use “at” instead of @ — but that doesn’t seem to deter the pen!s enlargement and cas’in0 spammers. These guys find the address and manually put it into their spam machine.
I used to have a form on two sites; those were spammed to death so I took them down.
Do you not want to offer support to your players.
In the 3 years I’ve been doing this, I have had exactly one player contact me. And that was 2 years ago. I’ve had thousands of other webmasters email me, though. Sometimes I will respond, if I recognize them from CAP or GPWA.
These days, I ignore most link exchange / link buy requests — including one I got from you earlier today. We tried doing an exchange before, and it didn’t work out. And now it looks like none of your links are working on your “affiliates” page. MySQL error. Can’t conntect to the database. It’s been that way for a few weeks now. Do your link partners know about this?
My suggestion would be to learn how to handle all of this stuff yourself; don’t depend on someone else to do this for you. (Whoever is doing it now is doing a piss poor job). Learn PHP and MySQL, and in 6 months you’ll be much better off. Another tip would be to try to stay focused on one or two things instead of investigating a hundred different things, and then not acting on any of them.
Anyway — I probably should go ahead and delete most of my contact pages; it would save time and bandwidth. If someone who knows me wants to get in touch with me, they know how to find me. :wavey:
December 15, 2007 at 5:12 pm #756572FrankBlackMemberI can see both sides of this story…I’m fairly new at this , just have really started my own domain , but was told to make certain to have a way to contact me. Now I’m just befuddled…lol

I’m not sure if I’ve got the ability to resolve problems on their behalf. I can speak to my aff managers, but I’m not really able to intervene between players and the casinos themselves.
Plus, I really don’t have the time to sift out the wheat from the chaff in respect of those players who are trying to game the system.
It may sound irresponsible, but I’d rather take care to promote casinos with decent reputations and good customer service, and to include full contact details as part of my reviews.
Webmasters
I don’t respond to unsolicited emails asking for link requests. Why bother, when forums like this exist? CAP etc are great because you’ve got numerous points of contact and some assurance that the webmaster is genuine. I’ve entered into a few exchanges with people whose opinons I’ve come to respect on the forums, and who took the time to write a personal request, having researched my site in advance.
Contact details
Other websites I’ve had have included email addresses for eg feedback or articles. As with Engineer, I’ve had 1 genuine contact and thousands of crap emails. I just don’t bother checking them any more. There are ways to contact me if you want to, but they don’t include ringing me or coming to my door.
December 15, 2007 at 6:08 pm #756575AnonymousInactiveWell spoken Dave!
December 15, 2007 at 9:24 pm #756585AnonymousInactiveI do give player support. It usually doesn’t take much because I only list good casinos I trust and because I don’t have a lot of freebies on my site, so people who run bonus scams don’t tend to go there. I don’t have an “about us” page, although I have considered adding one and probably will soon. I do give my email on the index page.
Mailed link requests end up in the trash, and PMs here usually get declined politely. I don’t link much. No point asking me.
Your email and IP and whatnot are constantly harvested by pros who do nothing but harvest addies. They have all kinds of tricks up their sleeves and usually run ad agencies, or sell to ad agencies. And that’s why you get spammed, even on brand new addresses.
It’s part of life on the internet, and I don’t like it, but I refuse to grow grey hair over something I can’t change. And I won’t compromise the quality of service to players over it either.
December 16, 2007 at 2:27 pm #756615aaronsmithMemberI recieve spam the majority of the time to, but I always like to have a contact option. I feel I can trust a site that has a contact option. Often when seaching for other businesses on the net if there contact option is hard to find I dont always trust their service. Yes it may be because of spam they dont put it there but I often feel as a customer that they are trying to hide. But that is just my opinion.
I to have only recieved one customer asking for help on the site and yes the majority are penis enlargement offers but I like to leave this option so that one person who asked gets good customer service.
engineer- My affiliates page has had some problem with the linking and I apologised for our linking exchange not working out. I changed my designer and now I am using another guy who is proving alot better so i will see how it goes.
Thanks for the posts so far its interesting to hear your different opinions I am keeping mine as from day one I entered this industry I was told that easy accessible customer support was crucial for customer retention, lets hope the spam doesn’t make me think otherwise.
