I thought I would add a post to this thread about the memorial website launched a few days ago in honor of Craig so the folks here on CAP could see it also. Following is my post on the GPWA website on the thread http://www.gpwa.net/forum/memorial-website-craig-levin-171759.html:

There were a very small number of early gaming portal websites. I think http://www.CasinoCity.com was the first, with http://www.RGTonline.com and http://www.gambling.com starting fairly soon thereafter.

There were not very many of us in the early days, and we were pretty friendly with one another. When Graeme Levin launched Gambling.com, I had CasinoCity run some banners for them to generate some publicity for their launch. I’ve always considered Graeme to be a friend, and we’ve always chatted and said hello when we were at conferences together, which happened quite a bit.

Graeme’s son, Craig Levin, was very active in his father’s business for a number of years and was prominent in the development and running of Gambling.com and a number of other sites in the online gambling industry.

Tragically, two years ago today, on July 22, 2005, Craig was killed in an automobile accident. Graeme recently had a web site developed in his memory at http://www.craiglevin.com. There is information about Craig’s life and the nearly 200 who sent condolences have their messages on the site.

My heart goes out to Graeme on this anniversary of Craig’s accident. Please join me in visiting the site in his memory.

It was the first site I ever used and there are good memories about those days…
Its sad to have lost a pioneer in the business.

I wish his family, friends and coworkers a strong and healthy recovery. He will be remembered.
