    Well not 888.com or PartyGaming.

According to thee Guardian they’ll “suspend” US operations and have been pummelled in the stock market.

    Party Poker is official:

They say that if it is signed by the President (they expect it to be in the next two weeks) they will stop all US bets immediately.

Can’t see that this is knee jerk, they will have taken the best advise on the planet about this before coming out plublicly and making this statement.

Strange that PartyGaming have no problem accepting bets in Australia – are they ignorant to the laws here?

Why break the law in Australia, but not the USA? In Australia the fines are $1million a day so they’re already up for about a billion dollars if they are prosecuted….

Never mind us – we can always target non-US players, what about the thousands of American players who make a living from poker? They’re the ones who are really screwed here, not just the well-known pros, but the huge number of online pros – I was even one myself at one point! Not to mention the semi-pros and the millions who just enjoy it – spare some thought for them!

What example are they going to set by nabbing me? None. On the other hand if they were to nab a few high profile poker gods the impact would be significant.

Well if these high profile poker players who are profiting from online gaming dont feel threatened and dont plan to change anything, I as an affiliate wont be changing anything either.

Let this be a lesson to all affilates – once the ban is lifted, and it will, don’t promote those affilate programs that jumped ship!
