InactiveThe way it would work for us is: The affiliates sign up with Pearl Gaming and we would then pay them from our other company which has no reference to gaming at all, so in essence we are paying our affiliates a marketing fee. We are launching on November 1st so we will see how that will work, and if there are any problems we will work closely with our affiliates to solve them.

InactiveMmmm … So you’ll use the “advertising” SIC or somesuch ?
There must be 100 various categories you could argueably use without using the obvious ones. Just stay away from gambling or wagering or betting codes.

InactiveThat is exactly what we will do since we are a marketing company or atleast the company that will do the actual payments.

mnemonik23MemberI don’t believe it’s going to take any real creativity for affiliates to be paid and deposit earned funds. This bill was not designed to stop gambling (lotteries, horse racing, land based casinos etc). It is strictly to prevent the outflow of a huge amount of money that no taxes are collected from. Lets say you own gobs of money casino (I use that because hopefully it doesn’t exist lol) and you set up an account to pay affiliates under a different name that doesn’t collect any funds, only pays them out. I don’t think there would be any problems because governments love incoming funds. All they would want is for it to not be obvious because that would allow the public to see the real reason for the bans.
As for click2pay, yeah they phone you before you can use your account for verification. But if you can’t even get to that point then this will not be an option for gambling sites either. Which means they will end up recommending someone else. Maybe a new one that doesn’t even exist yet so I would sit tight and see what’s gunna come out of the wash.

InactiveGuys, registrations at click2pay have gone up 1000% a day and they are simply overloaded.
They are going to be around permanently and will be the choice for us, but are scramblling to keep up with the sudden demand.
The SSN is actually only used electronically and not seen by humans and only the last 4 digits are saved.

vladcizsolMemberOk, this morning I can access my Click2Pay account. They emailed me and indicated that the “delay” was caused while they validated my phone number.
My suggestion is they add a message to the system advising the client that their account is “Pending Approval – Awaiting phone verification”
This would eliminate frustration for the end user and more actively reflect what’s going on.Most folks are offended when they are told their account is “Locked” with no explanation given. That’s not a good way to start a business relationship.
I am happy that they did follow up and solve the problem relatively quickly. As Dom stated they are being bombarded with new sign ups as casinos are making an active effort to move their US players and affiliates over to Click2Pay, so these are probably just growing pains.
I look forward to using my account in the near future. :clapper:

InactiveI guess my cc/dc hasn’t heard yet, since I can still use mine for any site I choose to deposit, both before the law, and afterwards.
Don’t know what codes are being used, but I’ve deposited at Playtech, MGS, RTG etc without any problems or rejections.

InactiveProblem resolved and I no have a click2pay account. It’s good to know that many people are getting ready for the day Neteller no longer accepts US.

InactiveSuch a confusion… they should just have used the word: pending, and not locked. What a mess. Surely no PR person saw that… I don’t know how some big businesses are managed…

It has something to do with popup blockers. If you can enable popups you should be able to use FireFox to register. If not, then use an IE browser.

InactiveIt works for us good, will it work for our players trying to deposit into a casino? Or is just a way for affiliates to get there earnings?
October 26, 2006 at 5:37 pm #713566Anonymous
InactiveIt is already used by lots of players.
October 26, 2006 at 5:40 pm #713567
vladcizsolMemberYep probably 95% of the people who use Click2Pay are players. It’s a service comparable to Neteller in scope, but not under the same duress with regards to the new US legislation.
Click2Pay is in it for the long haul.
Its a good idea to start migrating players over there now so that they dont get shell shocked when neteller stops taking their business.
