InactiveI tried to open an account today and it won’t let me. It gave me a page that said:
“You are using an IP address which indicates that you are not located in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, South Africa, France, Austria or Germany.”
I guess others in the US are getting that same page, but NOT others in the UK. According to this thread:

InactiveRead the statement you just posted ,
You are using an IP address which indicates that you are not located in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, South Africa, France, Austria or Germany.”
What country are you trying to register from?

InactiveI did read it, that’s the point. I am IN the United States. If I were a wagering type (and I am) I would wager that Click2Pay has put a US IP block in place, but hasn’t yet changed the text on that page.
Edit: I am also a pessimist. So it’s entirely possible my guess is wrong. I’m a glass half-empty kinda girl

InactiveMight just be a technical problem , like i said i registered an account a few hours ago , got the conformation email , and logged in , set up my bank account with it , and now am just waiting for the verification deposits.

I’m a glass half-empty kinda girlI think that’s the key here – there is mass panic and hysteria around here already … so be careful of guesses and posting worrisome titles that may turn out to be wrong.
sigh.gifCertainly there is an error but the error message suggests that the USA is still included in valid countries … so let’s not jump to conclusions yet and make 2+2 = 22 !!
(I can’t test – I’m not included in that little group)

InactiveYou have to remember there traffic probably jumped 1000% today , and maybe there servers are overloaded , and im sure they did not have enough support personall ready to handle the thousands of new customers there getting every hour

InactiveHere is a quote from over at GPWA:
CityGuard/GPWA wrote:Summary: Click2Pay is not accepting NEW U.S. accounts, but previously existing accounts can still be used for gambling-related transactions.Details: I just tried to reopen a Click2Pay account and can confirm that they have implemented restrictions against U.S.-based accounts. When registering I received a screen indicating…

You are using an IP address which indicates that you are not located in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, South Africa, France, Austria or Germany.
My IP indicates that I am from the United States, so I tried to call the U.S. customer support. The U.S. line rang for at least a minute (ringing, not on hold) then I hung up and tried international support. So from that experience it looks like they’re not answering the U.S.-facing phone.
When talking with international customer support I was told that they were not accepting new accounts from the United States. I asked about the possibility of reopening my account (which I’d closed a few months ago because I decided I did not want to deposit any more money into my poker accounts). I was told that it would be possible to reopen the account. I probed this to ask if I would be able to make the same types of transactions that I previously made — specifically stating that this would mean depositing into a poker account — and was told that I would be able to with the reactivated account.
I asked when to expect a statement on the website and didn’t get an answer, and was informed that this policy was put in place “a few hours ago.” The customer support rep also indicated that the timing of the policy was why the error screen for the IP location message still included the United States in the list of countries…the system to block registration from U.S. IPs had apparently been updated but the error message hadn’t been updated yet.
Hope nobody minds the re-quote

InactiveOF course not – I’m assuming “CityGuard” runs things over there ?
So the information is from a good source?Never managed to get past the front page of the GPWA

InactiveWhat im hearing is Click2Pay is VERY user unfriendly. Not a very good option after neteller. Like one article I read about a person who ordered a deposit from his checking account. His Checking account denied the request and Click2Pay suspended his account no questions asked. And the deny was not even for insuffucient funds, the bank just denied it. So Click2Pay locked his user account and he can never use or signup again.
I originally though Click2Pay was a good option but the more I read its not. Now off to SurePay or Solidpay.

I wonder if this is temporary due to the influx or if they plan on decimating against future business; that doesnt make much sense.
Course if they are then unfriendly we probably dont want to deal with them anyway. Guess its going to have to be checks, ACH or wire.

InactiveI just opened an account yesterday, and I’m in the US. I am able to log in without a problem. I have yet to be “verified”, so I haven’t done any transactions with them yet.
Perhaps their system cannot handle the capacity, and that is why they are not adding US accounts ??? But then again, why would they just say “US” accounts cannot be added, unless they are planning to dump US.
I cannot get through to the US support, so even though I am able to log in, I am expecting the worst here.

Did they call you?I am able to log in, but I haven’t received my 2 test deposit amounts into my bank account yet. However, several days ago when I created the account, I was told by a live customer support person, that I needed to phone those deposits in to a support person, in order to elevate me to Star Level 2 – which would allow me transact.
I have yet to receive these, and given the recent ceasing of US account creation, I’m willing to be that I won’t be able to establish my account. At this point, I’d probably be leary to use the account anyway.
