Yes, I got the same email. A lot of changes lately.. and Not to many US facing poker sites left to promote.
WPN, EPN, Revolution, GPN, and SWC are all that remain promotable from a poker standpoint. Also, I failed to link our article on the Carbon Aff program closure in the OP, so I’ll do that now.
WOW! I can’t believe I am reading Carbon Poker is closing. Yes, we are very limited now on who we can give US poker traffic to. All of my texas hold em friends say it was their favorite site. Or is it just the affiliate program closing and they are still taking new US players?
They say that they are not accepting new real money players, but I heard that existing poker and casino players can play. The affiliates do not get credit though.
What is pissing me off is their lack of communication at this critical time. I’d like to use this opportunity to buy some affiliate sheets from other affiliates but I can’t seem to get them to respond about this or any other issue as of late. Keep in mind that I had very clear and open lines of communication with them for the last 4 years since we’ve worked hard for them (post Black Friday) and have been in contact with them since 2006 when I negotiated a private prop deal with them.
I’m finding it hard to believe that I voted them best affiliate program in the past…

I’m happy to report that the payout problems, for both affiliates and for players have been rectified. I’m happy that this has finally happened after 3 quarters of slow payouts. Unfortunately, the business and volume, as far as poker is concerned, has been severely damaged.
Furthermore, ChipSplit has drastically increased the fees without any notice whatsoever.
Blanket deposit fee of 7%. Basically this is just an MGR deduction as it’s not actually based on deposits your players make, but simply a % of MGR removed from your earnings. For example, if you have a 40% deal and your players rake $1000, you pay $70 in fees on that rake attributed to “deposit fees.” Thus, effectively, your deal is now 33%. There are more fees however.
Withdrawal fees of 5% of the amount withdrawn. For example, if you have a winning player and he withdraws a maximum payout of $5,000, you are hit with a $250 fee taken DIRECTLY from your affiliate commission.
