CasinoBlasters has added a NEW predatory term. Their T&C’s are no longer affiliate-friendly. They have been marked as Predatory by AGD.
The term they enacted was the Minimum Player Rule whereby an affiliate program may terminate your account if you do not send them enough players in a given time period. In such cases, you will have your account terminated and earnings confiscated.
June 6, 2008 at 3:16 am #769496stevejMemberSo this is retroactive and means we can lose our OLD players? (before the T&C change) or just new ones?
edited to add:
Casino Blasters: please reconsider this. you treated us better than this in the past. what’s going on?I know this is not an “American” issue, as it effects ALL affiliates, but I wonder if the tune will change when UIGEA is finally repealed and Playtech casinos want American players again.
American affiliates are still pissed off about the way we were treated when UIGEA was first passed, and we will remember all the hits we took along the way when the U.S. market opens back up. To think we won’t pay attention to all the encroachment in between now and then is simply foolish. Blasters may have done us better than most, but encroaching on our players now means all credibility of the past is erased.
Our players are getting used to Rival casinos and other U.S. friendly brands. There will be absolutely no reason for us to once again share our real-estate with you, instead we will be loyal to those who hung with us and regularly pay out.
I am taking notes, and I have many programs in my cross-hairs who may feel good about cheating me now but when I move, I aim to move swiftly. So be prepared for losing all your exposure. and…. if any shaving happens because of my post, watch me jump… I have openX banner serving now, so I can go turn you off with my switch.
Thanks Andy you are invaluable around here!!!
Two cheers for AGD!! Here!! here!!
PS: for affiliates tired of changing banners when a program turns into a wolf, I highly recommend this software – http://www.openx.org/ – it’s FREE, it has powerful stats to track programs with, and of course best of all, you don’t have to run around yanking banners when you get fed up.

June 6, 2008 at 5:33 am #769503LucretiaMemberI guess if there will be no response from CB to this issue, it is time to reconsider and reduce exposure to a minimum.
They seem not to care about affiliates anymore with this new predatory term.
June 6, 2008 at 2:47 pm #769538AnonymousInactiveWhen U.S. players are accepted again in a few years, everyone should remember this event.
Did anyone receive an email from CB about the change? If not, that’s pretty shitty. What did they think, that they could quietly implement retroactive and predatory T&Cs without anyone noticing?
Thanks to Andy, tricks and stunts like this are no longer possible.
I don’t expect a response from CB here. The head guy there (Jeff or Ricardo; I don’t remember which one) is very anti-message board, for some reason. I believe the last time he came out to play was in the fall of 2006, when he was outraged over some comments Marc Lesnick made at the time.
June 18, 2008 at 9:16 pm #770490AnonymousInactiveSo – what is the deal with this CB????
I see you have a refer-an-affiliate promotion (I didn’t want to stomp on that thread), but no plans to change this EXTREMELY PREDATORY term?
We were supposed to hear from you this week, but it appears to me that CB and BCP are moving forward with the predatory term instead of answering affiliate concerns.
Should we all assume that you want to continue finding ways to steal our commissions? Or will there be a resolution to this.
IMO – it is in poor taste to advertise a promotion to gain affiliates in the midst of initiating Predatory Terms and Conditions.
June 18, 2008 at 9:24 pm #770491AnonymousInactiveThat really sucks and is a bad way to treat affiliates.

Quote:CB website : We Want Your Feedback During the next few months we would like to get your valuable feedback about CasinoBlasters.com, primarily about your likes, dislikes, and your thoughts on our services, website, and marketing tools. We will be offering an online survey to selected affiliates in order to provide you with exactly what you need in order to help your numbers grow.If you add predatory terms anyway why should WE let YOUR numbers grow?
It is all about integrity and attitude, you are picking the wrong one for now.
