Hello folks, I have a couple apologies to send out because we wrote a story on this yesterday but our server became corrupted and we had to move our entire site, it is still on the fritz so I still can’t give you a link to the article, however I talked extensively with Jeff and I think everyone here is overeacting quite a bit.

Here’s how it started… the US passed the law – UK casinos bailed on the US, some screwing us (affiliates) over completely. Playtech bailed out of the game also, but Golden Palace talked the software company into allowing them to operate for at least 30 more days. We (affiliates) then got the message saying full speed ahead for at least for the next 30 days. That was correct and we all remained happy and optimistic.

Then at the end of the 30 days Blasters announced again that they have not received the heave-ho from Playtech yet, so full speed ahead until further notice. However, it was understood at some point in the future they were going to switch softwares. In the backend, Ricardo and Jeff fought extensively with Golden Palace owners to NOT screw over affiliate, they did everything in their power to HELP affiliates so that none of us lose our players on the switch.

Then, a couple days ago we all got an email that explained what was happening, which, although slightly wordy was pretty straightforward. As soon as the letter went out, some people who did not fully read or understand the letter went and tried to play at Golden Casino, only to be told their account had not transferred from Golden Palace.

Then, those people that couldn’t figure things out immediately came here and posted how pissed off they were. However, Golden Palace said in the email they will keep accepting the US bettors until the 15th, so the transition hadn’t happened as of yesterday, and it still won’t happen until the 15th. I am positive that everyone’s stats in Blasters will remain consistent up until the 15th, at which point the entire database of US players will transfer over to Golden Casino seemlessly. Jeff and the rest of his staff will be happily available over the next couple of weeks to answer anyones questions and resolve problems that are bound to come up.

The links to Golden Palace will remain to be redirected to Golden Casino up until December 1st. That gives affiliates almost a full month to get into Golden Casino, get new codes and replace all banners across all sites where they promote them.

Jeff and Ricardo worked harder at NOT screwing affiliates than I have ever seen and their reputation should not be ruined because of this, they should actually be rewarded. They went to the Odds On software because it is the best software out there right now, not quite sure why everyone is in love with RTG, and they, unlike Microgaming, will be accepting bettors from all states in the US. Yeah, the new site is new and crappy, but they had to come up with this plan within a month and they did the best they could, its not like this has been in the works for years, they even switched to Golden Casino in an attempt to keep the branding that worked so well for them through the years. These are all things that will benefit us, too so I am not quite sure why there is so much outrage.

The only thing Jeff did wrong in my eyes was not calling the Professor like he said he would, however, he told me to relay the message that the email went out without his knowledge and he was really pissed off when it went out because he hadn’t gotten to speak to the Prof. beforehand.

I will post a link to our article as soon as my server quits f-ing up. I hope this clears things up for some people and if there is something I am missing please let me know.

I agree completely. Well, maybe not that oddson is the best software out there, but it’s a good choice for this.

I have no idea why everyone is angry at a playtech group that went out of it’s way at considerable risk to themselves to preserve our playerbase. Others just shrugged and dumped people’s playerbase or sold it without recompensing people.

I have never really promoted these guys, and now I wish I had. I applaud them for working so hard for a month to try and salvage affiliate’s income.

They deserve a lot of praise and not all this sh!t. You are angry at the wrong parties! Look around at what the others did!

    geeez guys! cant%20believe.gif

Ok maybe its just me then, but why just ignore the points below? A little shilling perhaps?

    Quote:
    1. I was and am EXTREMELY displeased in how the changes were communicated. I dont appreciate being treated like a child and kept in the dark until AFTER changes are made. We are partners and PARTNERS COMMUNICATE. There is no excuse for how this was handled.

    2. I was and am EXTREMELY unhappy with the decision to just switch where traffic was being directed WITHOUT prior notice to affiliates. Had we been provided notice we could have updated creatives and supporting text on our pages. Why would ANYONE think it a good idea to just shuttle off visitors to a DIFFERENT place then they thought they were going? It’s disorienting to the players and it makes US the referring affiliate look like imbeciles. I DONT APPRECIATE IT AT ALL WHEN A PARTNER MAKES ME LOOK LIKE AN IMBECILE IN FRONT OF MY CLIENTS.

    5. WHY, WHY, WHY are there NO POSTS or PUBLIC RESPONSES from Casino Blasters? What’s being hidden? We are a community built around the concept of open communication. WHY is Casino Blasters totally silent here at CAP all of a sudden. I find this very disturbing and unacceptable behavior.

Guys I have supported and promoted Golden Palace for years. But I dont think this transition was handled well. I think anyone who looked at it objectively would agree that there were mistakes made in HOW the changes were done without fore warning. I also can see no reason why a few simple responses here at CAP couldnt be made. It seems that isnt going to happen, instead a few people get massaged on the phone (much as I was) and they throw praise at Blasters. So be it. I will make beleive I am a happy chappy also.

I can :chearlead :chearlead :chearlead and :kissass: :kissass: :kissass: too I guess.

Well, I haven’t, and I am certainly not shilling.

They are etical enough to protect affiliate interests. So some things got screwed up along the way.

It still makes their apporoach the most ethical I have seen from playtechs.

No Dom I have seen the light and I am with you. Forget my points, I was wrong. I might as well curry favor too. Lets just move on and not question anything.

    Casino Blasters Rocks!

    Curry favor for WHAT? Shill?

With Blasters with whom I have made maybe rock bottom of 4 figures in 5 years because I only listed them at the bottom of a list of 200?

Maybe you need some coffee. It’s early on a saturday.

Sorry, I was pissed at a number of playtechs about how they handled their exit from the US, without any consideration of affiliate’s player base. I am pleased to see Blasters isn’t one of them.

I think Blasters should have posted some information here well before they started making changes. Everyone should have had access to the information, not just a select few.

That said, I am glad that our U.S. players aren’t simply shut out. I have to wonder, why didn’t Wager Share do something like this? Why didn’t all of the other Playtech programs do this? Instead, those players are lost forever.

One thing that I am still not happy with, is the fact that my links are being redirected to Golden Casino. I would rather update my reviews of Merlins Magic, Grand Riviera, etc. and tell the reader that U.S. players are no longer accepted at these casinos. I could write something along the lines of, “Sorry, U.S. players can’t play here anymore, BUT you can play at Golden Casino!” and then have a link out to Golden Casino from the Merlins Magic review…. something like that.

I need people to land at Golden Casino “properly” — that is, they need to know they are going to end up at Golden Casino before they click out. I want my readers to still be able to visit the Merlins Magic site if they want, even if they can’t play there. I am very opposed to censorship via geotargeting.

I would ask that CB / AA please stop redirecting my traffic ASAP. This is bad for business — maybe not for you — but I think you are hurting my reputation by forcing me to mislead my visitors.

In my opinion CasinoBlaster did much better work then for example cPays or cPartners. Imagine if you have been promoting other Playtech casinos for two years time and now you get max 20% of what you were earning before the US ban. I know a lot of affiliates who are now desperate to fill income gap left by Playtech operators. Jeff secured mine and yours business from loosing a lot of $$.

This email was only information for us, that near 15th CB will transfer all players to new casino, but until 15th GoldenPalace is still accepting players from US. We all can see it in CB stats, no change there.

I just hope Jeff and Ricardo will be able to convince our players to move to new casino.

I think it is All Star Affiliates who are doing all these things, not Blasters. All my links are still going to their respective casinos, however Merlins Magic and other casinos are not Blasters, they are All Star.

The article about this that was written a couple days ago is up on my site if anyone wants to see it but its out dated now so I won’t link to it.

Flamingo Club and 24kt Gold both redirect to Golden Casino. Those belong to Casino Blasters. Not sure why Aspinalls, Golden Palace, and Grand Online are still working. :tooconfus

Ha, thats funny, I checked Apsinalls, Golden Palace, and Grand Online and assumed the others were also the same, but yeah, that doesn’t make sense.

I really thought this quote interesting….

“Jeff and Ricardo worked harder at NOT screwing affiliates”

Yeh so they WERE in the practice of it then? No need to answer it was rhetorical. I have known for awhile. They have totally screwed me IMO. They were quick to send me a standard letter and a few un-standard telling me I sent them bonus hunters and all of this other crap. When I sent them a letter or response with the reasons and proof that I dont send bonus hunters they never got back with me. It was like I have not promoted them for years and been making a good income with them (that all of a sudden dropped off the face of the planet).

Also, I am very good with people and worked on the crisis line for years. Its like I can hear bullshit come out of peoples mouth. When Jeff called me (and why have my number on file as one to call if I sent bonus hunters?) and played this whole role of “we are concerned for you and want to help you” and a bunch of other BULLSHIT that quite frankly made me nauseated. It was my chance to talk to him about my little email battle with them and he still just dodged bullets and sidestepped all of my questions. Personally the whole reason they were even calling people I think was just so they could make a few extra bucks before they jumped ship…. Well here we are right?

I really hate all the scum in this business really. Its the hardest thing to deal with. Worse than fucking timeshare companies even and those guys…. whew!

Maybe I missed the post but how are they/we going to handle this when December 1st comes around. It says we must have all trackers directing to Golden Casino by then if it is to track properly.

So if a US player clicks on our Golden Palace link will they still be redirected to Golden Casino but we just won’t get the referral? It just doesnt seem practical that we could still promote Golden Casino unless we ourselves have some sort of geo IP working on our sites? Anyone have a link to a post about this as it must have been discussed I just couldnt find it.

    Thanks

That’s bothering me too. Anyone understands this? What happens to the US visitor when clicks on a GP casino link. Will he/she be just turned down or will be redirected to Golden Casino, if it is so then will we get a refferal for it?
I didn’ find any reading regarding this matter.
