InactiveCan we just sort out wether we can choose our model or not?
In his post bonusgeek made the point that he thinks it´s fair that we still can choose our earnings model.
Knowwhentohold states that´s not possible though. When I wanted to sign up it says on their site Program-Commissions
that they do offer rev share. Then you go to their sign up page Join Page and you´re left with a choice between the CPA (even the Professor´s cat looked pretty disturbed about that one) and the wager share. As I am new I will probably go with wagershare as I am not too keen to have a few starving months to begin with but I would want to be offered the choice to change over to rev share at a later stage.
So do we actually have a choice or not? Can sombody please elborate on that?

InactiveNo you do not have a choice, beyond not promoting them if you don’t like the options they offer.

InactiveThe percentages are based on these audits:

Probably not just this casino but a composite of the properties they carry.

InactiveThose stats for table games proves that the casino is making about 2.6 to 3% we are getting .3 of that, we should be getting about 1% of there take if they get 3%

For most games it is around 0.5%. I suspect that the public as a whole may truly lose about 1.26% at blackjack, so this appears to be a reasonable setting for CasinoRewards to use.

But you do, in fact, get a little over 1% of what your players wager.April 23, 2006 at 9:03 pm #689720Anonymous
InactiveSorry, I thought I read that they gave at least existing affiliates the choice to stay on the rev share program, but I really havent been following this situation very closely. Sorry for the mis information. Perfect example of why all affiliates should always research everything on their own in addition to what every affiliates have to say.

InactiveBonusgeek,
They gave existing affiliates the option to remain on rev share. However it wasn’t advertised that well. If I recall it was noted in the affiliate newsletter that if you wanted to remain on revshare you had to email CR by a particular date or you would have automatically been changed over to the new commission model. It was easily missed. Why wasn’t this notification more heavily advertised to their existing affiliates? I emailed and remain on revshare for the reasons that have been mentioned in this thread. Bottom line CR would not introduce a new commission model that would effect their bottom line. The fact that once you crossed over to the new model you couldn’t go back and the fact CR were pushing so hard made me a bit suspicious that theses changes were not mainly for the benefit of affiliates.

InactiveDamn, I thought I was on revenue share…I guess I must have been switched over because I did not contact them about staying on rev share. If I would have seen that we had to contact them to stay on rev share I would have. I thought if we did not contact them and just continued with our old account we would stay on revenue share…

InactiveI contacted them about staying on revenue share and they told me to open a new account for the wagershare model and they would continue my existing account on the revenue share model. The wagershare model is rubbish for me as I have a heavy hitter at BJB who likes to play a few big hands – my earnings on wagershare are minute compared to what i would earn on revenue share

InactiveI put most of my responces to CR’s new wagershare system in this thread.

I hope no one gets upset that I posted this link here.

InactiveWe should all lobby to have any players under their wagershare program to be converted back to the revshare, as they have refused to do so once converted. I think this is a trap.

InactiveBeing my first month on the new plan.. I have to say it’s working out fine. I’m earning about what I always do.. I don’t see much difference at all.

I agree, it is a trap and a new way to ripp off affiliates.
I’ve closed my account with them and I would urge everyone to close their account or to stop promoting them.If Casino Rewards gets enough negitive feed back (and loss of traffic) maybe they will change their ways and at the very least offer the Revshare again.
BTW – whoever thought this wagershare program up must think that all casino affiliates are stupid… I really don’t see how they can justify that most affiliates will make more money… It just does not add up
