InactiveUh-oh. Rackback. Thin end of the wedge.
:Cry:Dean, Are you also saying that you will also setup the facilities that most rackback affiliates are looking for too?
Specifically – rackback affilaites tend to harvest existing big players off from non-rackback affiliates – rather than bring in new players.
Do you plan to either allow players to transfer to rackback affiliates within the PDC setup? Or allow them to set up new IDs to join rackback affiliates and abandon their old ID’s?

InactiveHi Paul,
Rakeback will only be offered to new players on the network since the launch. Existing players will not be eligible.
Cheers,

InactiveHi guys,
for those interested to promote more poker rooms in the network, Ironduke.com is also part of the Merge Gaming Network and we are looking forward to work with you.

goldaMemberSelection is a good thing. There is a Rakeback Forum on PAP devoted just to this heated topic. new thread started today.

InactiveI know that if I was an existing player, I would not play at THAT site anymore, knowing others are getting rakeback and I am not.
I would change poker sites so I too could get rakeback.
Not a good move by Poker.com AFFILIATE-WISE.

goldaMemberWell I think they should start an internal rakeback program as well for existing players. Just offer 10% rakeback for their existing players who ask out their own pockets. Or 30% split with the affiliates…

With the hope I won’t start a debate if rake back is good or bad.
If you know about rake back in first place and care about it wouldn’t you already be playing somewhere else?
Every major poker network or site has offered or still offers rake back to help them grow.

It’s not ‘Poker.com’. Poker.com does not have a poker room. Let’s try to call them PDC/Merge or Carbon.

InactiveI still call them Poker.com because that is where they send my revenue each month. They have still yet to separate their poker room(s) from their affiliate division!

goldaMemberThis is a bit of a complex arrangement. We know poker.com is an awesome domain and I am wondering of they really can make more off being a super-affiliate / advertising network than having a devoted poker brand. However with Carbon (I am wondering if this is in reference to a carbon copy) they can really push their new room from a great site and open up a new business model.
Any official take from the Poker.com crew?

InactiveLook guys, for once and for all – PDC / Carbon / Merge has absolutely nothing to do with the Poker.com domain, other than being advertisers.
Please stop referring to PDC affiliates as ‘Poker.com’. Let’s end the confusion now and let both businesses move on.
Don’t want to make a big deal out of this at all…. But it’s annoying to have the domain continually mentioned in connection with an affiliate program it has absolutely no connection with anymore.
Thanks for your help.
(I’ll speak to them about still making payments as ‘Poker.com’ – that was supposed to have stopped a long time ago)

InactiveOk…I totally don’t get this….
Poker.com still is a poker room is it not???
I know there is a site that promotes other rooms…but the poker room is still poker.com. Carbon Poker is also out there.
My only choice to receive my aff payment is at Poker.com – the poker room.
I would love if they had alternate methods, but they don’t for me.
I can’t open a Carbon Poker account because I have a poker.com account.
So, I will continually call it poker.com as that is where I pick up my money each month.
Sorry if this offends anyone, but this is the way PDC does it.

InactiveFurthermore, I still promote Poker.com through PDC affiliates.
