InactiveOkay, so it’s one of the dumbest posts you’ve ever seen, gotcha!
Well, my question still was not answered, unless I’m too dumb to notice.
Anyways, don’t worry about it, I’m not.

Inactivethe facts
many people are clicking on banners and its not allowing them to download.
many people already have duplicate accounts now, so affiliates are losing players
Whats being done to correct these ?
These problems should have been ironed out firstWhy didnt everyone at poker.com just get told they can use the same user id at carbonpoker – then most people wouldnt of even tried to open a new account.
And Why wernt affiliates told of this ?

I am trying to keep carbon poker off my forum for now, but it will not last long as ore and more members find it, and transfer over from poker.com to get the new bous- and play the same games;
the private tournaments that I have on Poker.com are shown on Carbon Poker. One of my members played in it through Carbon Poker, and the table didn’t even have the ‘Wass’ logos on.
Is there any news on the Carbon Poker affiliate program?
Thanks
Hi David,
I am sure you and most of the other Poker.com affiliates are very concerned about how the tracking is going to function with regards to CarbonPoker.com.
When an existing player signs up with CarbonPoker.com, we will track them via their unique player fingerprint and will assign their existing affiliate tracking code to the new player. All game play generated by this new player will then be attributed to the correct affiliate, and will just appear under their stats as per normal.
All banners will be available for CarbonPoker.com by Febuary 9th. Affiliates will not need to create a new affiliate account, they will be able to see their Carbon players in their existing affiliate account.
if we detect that a player has created a duplicate account at Carbon:
a) the original affiliate code (if any) will be copied across and;
b) based on our unique player fingerprinting, any players who have transitioned across brands will be re-associated with their original affiliates. This will be done in the next 24 hours.
c) we will make players who move across ineligible for another initial deposit bonus, therefore removing the incentive for them to move across in the first place.
I hope that addresses some of your direct concerns regarding players.

darko123,
Can you please provide me more information. Are you getting any errors when players are clicking on the banners / attempting to download the software? What exactly are you seeing on your end.
Our apologies for the late notice with regards to adding a new brand to the network. The new brand was launched to allow us to promote it at live tournaments, on television and via other media channels that are only available with a “.net” for free strategy.
Please post any other questions or concerns you have.

InactiveSo players now have to send in their FINGERPRINT? LOL
Please explain fingerprinting your players.
Also…why CARBON poker?
Lastly, what payment options are fully functional for US players?
And…YES you can open up both accounts…I already have and others too.

Inactive1. go to drawdead.com and click the banner for p.com site of the month (center of page)- Does not download. This is costing us both money and I will change it in 24 hours if this is not fixed.
2. Are the players coming in to carbon going to show differently on pdcaffiliates? What about all the people reporting that they did indeed open accounts on carbon and p.com? Whats to keep someone from playing in my games from both sites with different names ?

InactiveHi All,
I know you are all eager for more information on how your players will be tracked etc so I will try to provide as much information here as I can. Any specific questions I will address as soon as possible:
All players will continue to be tracked to the relevant affiliate, even if they sign-up for a Carbon Poker account – how does this work exactly and what about sign-up bonuses and duplicate accounts?
The CarbonPoker installation process has been modified to examine the windows registry for a Poker.com affiliate code and utilise it if found.
You will note that if you check your affiliate stats now you will see the CarbonPoker players that have signed up have been assigned to your respective affiliate accounts. Our development team are currently working on splitting out the stats so you can see players from each individual brand (Poker.com and CarbonPoker.com)
Players will need to sign up under a NEW account but they will be able to use the same email address as their username.
Players are free to sign up a new account under carbon poker, but will be ineligible for a second signup bonus if the account is less than 90 days old. Accounts older than 90 days are eligible for a second sign-up bonus.
Players can use the same email address (username) when they sign up but the nickname MUST be unique.
The issue with Internet Explorer 7 has been sorted out and should no longer be occuring. If anyone is still receiving errors when downloading please let me know via a PM or post here.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time. We are working flat out to address everyones concerns with the change of brands and apologize for any delay in getting back to individual concerns. As I said above if anyone has any specific questions not addressed here please PM me or put a post and I will get to it as soon as possible.

What is Fingerprinting? The CarbonPoker installation process has been modified to examine the windows registry for a poker.com affiliate code and utilise it if found.
Why CarbonPoker.com?
For a number of reasons:
Carbon is a base element and part of all life on this planet
Carbon is street slang for diamonds
Carbon allows us to update our table graphics / landing page graphics to incorporate the sleek black feel of the word “carbon”
It allows us to advertise at live tournaments and gives us an identifiable brand name in the poker world. Having Poker.com was very limiting in that respect as the dotcom part would always be removed for advertising at live events. We now have the ability to advertise and market the brand in a much greater capacity.
What payment options are fully functional to US players?
At this time we have a FedEx Check option for player withdrawals. You can also use Click2Pay for fund transfers as long as you had an existing account before they stopped accepting new US signups.

I also assume it might have been a play on “Carbon Copy” – a clone of the original Poker.com site.
:tongue:Pleased to hear about the finerprinting mechanism – as I suggested it is easy enough to do becasue you’re loading code onto the client PC. Thanks for that.
:hattip:However, i’d like to get into promoting Carbon Poker directly – when will we be set up for that ?

InactiveHi Dean
Thanks for replying. It seems a good way of doing things if thats working poperly. It would have been nice to have been told before-hand though!
Also, as asked before, how long before we can promote Carbon direct?
Thanks

IF this is the problem discussed (and raised in the Poker.com section of the forum) I can confirm that the download feature is now working for Internet Explorer V7.0 again …
