InactiveSpeaking of Templates . . .
Where can one learn how to make templates? I don’t really have the time to create a lot of templates, but have some ideas and would like to create a few for my own use.
I have been looking for books or articles on the subject, but so far have not found anything directing me as to where to begin.
Thanks for any advice anyone can provide.

InactiveI’m not submitting these but if you want some free templates head on over to http://www.freesitetemplates.com
Strip the banners and text links back to designers (using the templates does not mean you have to give credit to the designer) and you have your own template.
If you want to make a template you will need a program such as Frontpage or be able to write html/php/whatever code and use notepad. All a template is is a empty shell of a website. Just a design, no text or content.

InactiveThanks Stephen, :wavey:
I had FrontPage for my PC . . HATED it so much I threw it in the trash! :cuss:
Got Adobe GoLive for my Mac, as well as DreamWeaver for both PC and Mac. I also have PhotoShop . . so between all of them I should be able to make a template.Don’t know where to begin . . background . . how do they do those striped and dotted backgrounds? What comes next?
Guess I’d better read my DreamWeaver for Dummies. :huh2:I usually just pick out a template I like and pay for it, but would really like to make something original.
I’ll check out the free ones you suggested. Maybe I’ll find something there I can tweak to my liking.

Inactivetitus . . Very Nice! I like it a lot. I like the rounded corners and the overall colorful, friendly and inviting feel. :colgate:
Only change I would make would be the text in the middle.
Not that I’m qualified to offer such advice, but I think the text should be brighter to go along with the overall cheerful, colorful feel of the page. Maybe the color of the background on the banner at right (the one with the big bell).

InactiveThanks!
I need all the help I can get. I will change the color of the text and let you know when I’m finished. Would you like to link exchange with this site and my other site http://www.onlinebettingreview.com

InactiveLasVegasLady – I’ve updated the color – Please see if this better. I’m not very good with colors.

InactiveYes, that color looks much better!
The previous color seemed too pale in comparison with the bright banners and overall feel of the rest of the site.
E-mail me at [email protected] in regard to exchanging links.

InactiveI really envy those of you who know how to make those impressive, glitzy templates!
I thought I’d give it a try, as I mentioned in my earlier post.
Number 1 . . I really don’t have the time to mess with it.
Number 2 . . I don’t have the patience!!! :cuss:However, I really do need something for my new casino and will gladly pay someone to make me a custom template.
Oops . . Should I start a new thread for this?
Guess I should do that . . .
BTW . . have any of the template submissions to CAP been accepted yet? Looking forward to see them!
