InactiveI guess this is a business decision based on the fact that CAP generates a lot of new affiliate signups which supports a charge for being listed as affiliate program here.
If the affiliate signs up through a signature, this does not get tracked, and affiliate programs don’t see a value in being listed since no signups occur.
Looks to me like this is a tracking issue.
I have no knowledge of this, I am just saying what I think.
Seems like a “damned if you do, and damned if you don’t” type of thing.

Fair enough. I can put a tracking code to our affilate program in my signature. But please also allow me to include my email, MSN and any other contact details I deem necessary.
I cant even access the edit signature page anymore.

InactiveIf I were you I would talk to the business arm of CAP about this.
We are just the affiliate community here, and other than suggesting that it may be a tracking issue I have no solutions…
I guess us affs tend to look at things from a tracking perspective…

KolyaMemberCAP is not removing signatures at all. Affiliates can edit and maintain signatures as normal.
In an effort to provide greater tracking and measurement of which affiliates join certain programs through CAP, we require an affiliate manager who represents a listed program to simply contact us to make an edit to the default signature which will provide a link for affiliates to join should they wish. At the end of the day, we provide a service and would like our results to be monitored and tracked if we are held accountable to them.
We apologize for not communicating this change in advance. If any other program manager has a question, please contact us and we will gladly clarify. Next time an e-mail will be sent out prior to making any such change.

CAP did remove signatures…from the paying affiliate managers!
However thanks for the call and explanation/apology Warren. As you suggested to me, I have sent on the signature that I want in my account to Yvette.
Cheers!

InactiveWell, since you posted in the affiliate general chat area, it gave the impression that affiliates lost their sigs.
I didn’t move the post into the forum feedback area, but it really does belong here IMO.
Glad you got it sorted, probably you’ll benefit from being able to track how useful CAP is to you and if your investment of time and money is paying off…
