Ok, here are a few of my proposed questions. :) if no one speaks up, I have fifty more!

Question one: How did you meet the other members of your organization like Warren and AlexPratt or other heavily involved team members? Were they already in the affiliate business? Where you already friends? Who approached who?

Question two: How did you deal with trust when expanding? one of the first things I’d like to do with our business is turn over our accounting to someone else. It’s also the scariest to me. Any Advice?

Question three: What type of education do you have?

Question four: What is the single most important communication tool you have (regardless of costs) to keep everyone connected and on the same page. Email seems linear to me; how does everyone maintain the same vision?

Hope they aren’t to personal or detailed and get selected !

Guys we are going to compile these questions and publish the answers in CAP Magazine so fire away. I wont guarantee to answer everything, but I just might. Either way it will be entertaining.

    Hey Professor,
I think this is going to be the best interview of all time. My questions are:
How do you find the time to manage all your day to day business responsabilities?
What motivated you to start CAP and help new gaming affiliates?

It’s an honour to participate, and I think this is a brilliant idea. Compliments to the orchestrator(s). :hattip:

    My questions are:

    1) What impresses you most about the industry?
    2) What do you enjoy most about being the founder of CAP?
    3) What selection criteria do you employ or recommend for choosing an affiliate program to work/partner with?
    4) As a successful affiliate, what is the single most important advice you would give to a new affiliate? Similarly, what advice would you impart on an online operator/Affiliate Manager?

I have more but I think I better stop here lest I am labelled a “hog”. :)

    Many thanks,

    Sarafina

They can call me what they want Sara

I’m asking a couple of prickly ones now since not many are taking advantage of this yet

Question: I know they asked George W Bush this one and he didn’t give a very good answer, so I’ll ask you to see if you can do better…. what would you consider to be your single biggest MISTAKE in your progression (in regards to CAP of course) ?

Question: What is the single biggest tip you can give to middle of the road affiliates? – computer or non-computer related?

Question: What is the single biggest tip you can give to new affiliates? – computer or non-computer related?

Ethics vs Business: Often times I am confronted with business decisions and my personal body tries to become involved. Clearly this is capitalism. If I see a website for sale for $1000, and its worth $2000+ I buy it right? How far does CAP take competition? If CAP made me an offer on my sites today, would you suggest that I try to raise the bid? or would I be getting a true price? Where does capitalism end, and friendliness begin, etc.. I am confused on this and often think my kindness is a weakness in business. What are your thoughts on this? How do you deal with competition?

    Folks, don’t miss your opportunity!!

How do you envision the state of affiliate marketing in general, in the next 5-10 years?

How do you envision the state of the casino/poker affiliate marketing industry, in 5-10 years?

How many PM’s from new affiliates do you receive per day?

What affiliate program did you sign up for first?

What is the best advice you have received that has motivated you to be where you are at today?

What is your favorite type of rum and why?

Those are sticklers. I will add them to the list, but a few may not make it to the magazine.

One that will and I feel is very important is the last regarding Ethics.

I also stress this to my team and strive to make it paramount in all my business decisions.

    1. Always treat clients and colleagues as you would like to be treated. Both parties CAN and SHOULD win in any endeavor we enguage in.

    2. As stated above I firmly believe Affiliate Marketing is built around a true win win situation. Thats why I love this business. We all CAN make a lot of money working together, far more then we need, doing things honestly. Why jeopardize that looking for short cuts that ultimately fall apart anyway?

    3. If you do things ethically and work with others honestly you form relationships that can last a lifetime. That affords both parties the maximum chance to generate profits together. When you go for the “quick kill” thats exactly what you get, a dead end for the future. Build your relationships with an eye on longevity.

    4. I never want to do anything in business that I couldnt feel good about in front of my children. I always keep that in mind. What they see me doing today will effect their moral development in the future. I want to give them the best possible foundation to work from so they are successful in life too.

Tarzan avoid the beast within and stay positive. I am not sure of your religious beliefs, but even if you want to label it Kharma, what we do today does shape our tomorrows. Good now=Good Future , Bad Now = Bad Future. Who needs that?

Who in the gaming industry would you like to switch shoes with?

What was the biggest “Oh crap, I wish I would have thought of that” moment

    1. If I had to change shoes I would hope they would be for a richer pair, perhaps the italian loafers worn by the majority shareholder of Microgaming. I would have more money and I could drive the company forward into the future. That would be awesome.

    2. I wish I would have known for sure that UIGEA would be successfuly foisted upon the American Public by Frist so we could have stopped it. Question would have been would the casino groups believe me and actually pitched in to save billions of dollars in market value or would they have STILL sat on their hands?

would they have STILL sat on their hands?

They would have been so slow making the decisions that it wouldn’t have made any difference.

We have managed to free up space in the next issue of CAP Magazine so will have this in their by June however it needs to be written soon so get those questions in fast!!!

I have a few questions but keep forgetting them when I come to post so will be back – anyway here is one or two

What is the history of CAP SpringBreak

How many domains do you actually own, and what is the oddest one?

If you could put together a crackpot team of affiliates to launch the ultimate portal who would you pick and why? (max 5 in a team, don’t really know why)

With all the ups and downs of this industry have you ever thought about selling up and getting out?
