InactiveHola… *aaargh* still can’t stop mixing english with broken spanish

It was an awesome party and a successful business conference all rolled into one – so thanks CAP team for a wikkid event.
Thanks to everyone who hung out with the ReferBack team – it rocked! If we missed you this time, there is always next time!!!
*Muchos gracias* and stuff…

InactiveIt was great meeting you out there Shane and I know what you mean with the broken Spanish. Man do I have to learn the language! It was quite tough getting around – On my way back to the hotel one day I ended up on at ‘Placa Catalonia’ instead of ‘Hotel Catalonia – Barcelona Plaza’. hahaha.
I tried to tell the taxi driver I was in the wrong place, but he kept pointing to the hotel in Placa Catalonia (which was another Hotel Catalonia) – so I got out
Then I hailed another taxi with a map I obtained so that I could point out where my hotel was!Fun times! I am definitely learning basic language structure at the very least next time I venture there.
Good work Sasha, Alex, Lou, and the rest of the CAP team for putting on such a great show!

LOL

We used “Hospitale Bellvikte” as a guide for the cabbies (it was next to the hotel) which worked fine until one of them took us to Emergency Room Entrance of the hospital thinking we needed a doctor!!!
*si* defintely learning some local dialect for next time… things like:
– sorry I’m not interested in company tonight
– all I want is a burger and fries
– no means no, regardless of price
– stop that wallet, it’s mine
– can I dance in the cage now pleaseOctober 10, 2007 at 12:36 pm #750982

moneyggirlMemberWhat a scream Barcelona was! It was so great to see the industry in a good mood and having fun again! For anyone who’s attended conferences pre-David Carruthers arrest, pre-UIGEA and pre-Neteller arrests, you’ll understand what I’m saying…the past several conferences just haven’t had the same feel…
…but Barcelona!!! It felt like the ‘good ol’ days!’ :drunk2:
Lou, Marie, Warren–muchas gracias! As usual, very well done!
I have only two regrets for last week–not making more time to spend with more people and the whole pick-pocket nonsense (several of us suffered that one).
Unfortunately, I didn’t get around to taking too many photos this trip (I was too drunk to remember I had a camera with me!). I’ve finally broken down and started a Facebook page, so you can find the photos there:

I know Nicole took $hitloads of photos, so I’ll ask her to post them as soon as she re-surfaces.

Hmmm. It gives me an option to “poke” you Debs. How social “networking” has changed

pjvMemberWell! What I can I say. My first CAP event and what an experience! The DTs have finally subsided and my blood stream actually has more blood in it than that other stuff at last.
Hats off :hattip:to the organisers and it was a pleasure to meet up with Alex, John, Greg and co. We had a great time chatting with the various program managers and affiliates. Once again, the adage that it can be possible to work and play at the same time was found to be true. :rockband:Thanks again.October 11, 2007 at 11:33 am #751059Anonymous
InactiveAs I dont remember getting drunk does that mean it actually never happened?
I got pictures of me holding a glass of what looks to be a Vodka Gin Bull (a new one I invented) in some funky places but I am sure I stayed sober the whole time…
:shots::drunk2:
And I did it again!!! The old stick a can to my head  I gotta get a new party trick.

I’m sure there will be future events where I can do it all over again
But just so you know…I have some questionable photos of you as well, so I wouldn’t be too quick to post :sarcasm:

seadogMemberBad enough you posted them on FB now on the CAP forum too!! You are a bad photographer and a terrible friend. How do I revoke my vote for best AM? Sigh……
