I was reading some old posts about Canadian affiliates and someone mentioned that you should just say you are in advertising. Is this what I have to do at my next attempt at opening a bank account? i.e. avoid mentioning casinos and/or poker, and just say advertising? If yes what do you do if they ask you to elaborate?

I would imagine it also depends on the amount coming in?

Either say you advertise “sell banner space on your network of blogs” or have money sent via an ewallet to the bank :)

Im not canadian, hope you get it sorted

The person who was talking about advertisement was probably me. My company is registered in Canada and have never run into any problems. In fact, noone has ever asked what I was advertising. You have to say your company generates money from internet advertising. Then again that is also what I wrote in the federal incorporation papers.

Jackten, you mind mentioning the bank? Will try at another bank if RBC still give me problems.
