Inactive10,000-15,000 visitors in 2-3 days?
It will definitely be 10,000-15,000 in 2-3 days. Remember it is a press release, and counting that it will go published with a professional journalist writer, it should get at least publish and reach that minimum amount of visitors.
My site is about 102KB…so I think I have it figured out. If I’m NOT mistaken, its 102 . 10,000= 1,020,000 MB …so that should be around 1 GB of bandwith space.
Right?
P.S- First time that I’m having issues with bandwith, and I need to figured this out correctly cause, I heard of clinets that exceed their bandwith and have to pay $3,000 and up to $25,000 for the amount of traffic they have received at moments for there current hosting accounts plans. Hopefully this won’t happen to me.

Inactive7GB should be more than enough for that level of visitors. If you are doing calculations, don’t forget that people might visit more than one page of your site. And, yes, you may want to switch hosting providers if you get to the max bandwidth. My hosting company gives unlimited bandwidth.

InactiveI have done press releases in the past and although it sounds good you may be disappointed in the volume of traffic you get, I would not worry about blowing out your bandwidth but please let us know how it goes.

InactiveIm using Dreamhost ( http://www.dreamhost.com ), and I’m getting 1000GB per month and 40GB of webspace for $7.95 per month.
If you use YEARLYFREE50 as a promo code you get $50 off yearly plans.
I’m extremely happy with them, especially with the huge discount.February 20, 2006 at 9:24 pm #684129Anonymous
InactiveCan I ask where you’ll be submitting or how much you’ll be spending on a press release that will bring in over 10,000 real visitors? For sites like prweb I wouldn’t expect more then 100 visitors in 2-3 days with a $100 press release.
