    Hi Nauti,
Like your Casino Bonus better than mine:clapper:, but on casino cash home page i can’t read the bottom part of it, i can see it’s something there but can’t read it. I’m not an expert, so i don’t know if that matters or not. I’m as new at this as you are:hehe:, but i do like them.

OK. I write what I see – and it’s often not sugar coated.
    :satisfied

The Casino Bonus site is OK – I prefer black text on light colour so that is right – but I don’t like the predominance of the 648×60 pixel banners.

Makes it look like an ad farm – where ads have primary position. To my eye it then means you’re selling rather than reviewing or recommending.

5/10 – but I would like to see more content on the front page.

The Casino Cash site is not to my taste at all. Neon text on black backgrounds always suggest a neophyte playing on a free hosting domain.

That may not be true in this case – but it is true 90% of the time – and I’d never stay around long to find out.

2/10 – No maam. I just don’t like it at all. Sorry.

Thanks to both VPGambler and The Gooner for the insight.

VP – I’m not sure what it is on Cash Closet that you are referring to the only thing at the bottom of the page is the usual, links, copyright info, disclaimer, etc. Please advise what is the last thing you can see.

Gooner – I appreciate your honesty and sugar coating is not going to give me SE rankings. I agree with you about the neon green on the black and personally I don’t care for it anymore either, kind of makes me nauseated to look at it after awhile. That was my first website (ever) and it looked pretty cool at the time. It’s finally got a page rank and quite honestly it’s been put on hold as Casino Bonus Snoop I believe is the better site, as you agreed also. That is where I am spending all my time lately.

I’m not sure what you are referring to about the banners, please be more specific. I certainly need the insight.

More content on the home page – I couldn’t agree with you more, but damn your brain can only come up with so much shit before it all starts to look the same, and then you wonder am I writing something that someone else has on their site, and on and on. I would have to say the sites that were up before the major search engines banned gambling related keywords definately have an advantage over ones that are just being published. Just out of curiosity was SEO as much an issue then as it is now?

Thanks a bunch to all who have replied.

I just can’t see the links on the bottom of the page, but maybe it’s my PC, i don’t know. I can see a little of it but can’t read it. Are they written in dark color?

About SEO. I wasn’t listed in Google till i did SEO on my Home page and than i was listed, but only the home page, all i did any way so far:lookaroun

They are indeed dark, grey on black but they are really irrelevant links anyway. Both of my sites have all the menu pages index on Google but I’m waiting for that PR for whatever that’s worth.

    Hi Lori,

What I was saying about the banners on the casinobonussnoop.com front page is that I think that it brings the tone of the whole effort down.

I mean look at the 3 big ones on the right hand side – flash – flash – falsh – cartoon based drivel – it tends to dumb down the whole look of the front page.

Where as the smaller one on the left hand side (Grand Monaco) is animated – but it seems to rotate through a series of features and change in a less attention grabbing way.

The front page content is probably OK, although if it was me – I’d scrunch up the three casino reviews … and add a few teasers from the bonuses or strategy section.

Eg. Do you know where you can get a 100% match bonus upto $500? We do and we tell you here …

(I’m sure you get the drift).
    :colgate:

As for SEO it’s always been an issue.

Internet traffic has grown enormously now – but so has the competition. So while it’s harder to get good traffic – there is more good traffic to be got when you suceed (if that makes any sense?)

Thanks Gooner, the advice is well taken. I had just taken down the full page on Grand Monaco the night before and really didn’t fell like messing with it. I’ll be changing the home page tomorrow. I do understand the traffic deal and patience is what I’ll going for me in the area. I know this business is not a fly by night get rich quick deal and I’m willing to ride it out, since I enjoy it immensly (sp).

    NK,
I like the green for the menu on the closet site and a soft contrastual color for the content would add some rythm and give it a nice flow.

As for your snoop site – a creative logo that identifies your site will do wonders. I’ve gotten alot of emails from people about my poker site logo, one from a group of women that have a poker club with the “Lucky Lady” name so I had the logo put on some hats and sent the hats to them. They now also play each other once a week off one of my aff programs.

Thanks Voodo, my daughter is in graphics designer and put it together for me in a heartbeat. I watched the grandbabies while she did it. I’d say I got the better end of the deal. Nothing fancy she wanted to elaborate on it more but I kept saying that’s perfect. She’s a little anal like her mother.

I like both sites… Casino Bonus Snoop, I like the best by far. I like the top menu much better than all the side menus I use. It is very user friendly IMO.

Casino Cash Closet is a bit to contrasting for my eyes (and I have perfect vision – no glasses). The green is a bit neon on the black. I can see it’s appeal, though.

Remind me to do all my future sites in black and neon green to keep guys like Gooner away

    The snoop one is nicer

Thanks Nick and KW I will be changing the colors on Cash Closet, like I said in an earlier post, I can’t stand to look at it anymore, but it sure did look cool at the time (must have been a night of heavy drinking). :rasta:
