Due to tribal gaming interests, so an amended online poker bill will be re-introduced to the California State Legislatures:

Article: California Online Poker Bill Amended

At this time, it’s hard to say what the impact will be with an amended bill will have… However, what is clear is that Tribal Gaming Interests will take precedence in CA. (Ahem… that’s where all the money is.)

Because of this, do you think that things will take longer for Online Poker to pass in CA? Or… do you think this is something that Tribal Gaming will take advantage of and hop into?

I think the tribes will delay things as long as possible until:

    – another tribe in other state shows them how their profits increased with legal online gaming
    – or they get a ‘piece of the action’
    – their lobbyists are outbid by other interests

As a Midwesterner, it appears to me that the NJ and Nevada are the odds favorites.

Totally great points… and I’m starting to side with your forecasts on states…
