InactiveI’m waiting until the last minute to book my trip. I realize a lot of the hotels will be booked but I’m not picky. I would not blame any affiliate manager if they decided not to show up.
I have to admit it would suck being barred from the USA. It’s next to impossible to travel to anywhere in the world without going to miami or hawaii first.

InactiveI intend to be there, I don’t think that the latest controversy should influance the conference.
For the future I think it would be better to move most of the major events of the industry outside of the USA just so we don’t have these hesitations.July 31, 2006 at 8:27 am #700493Anonymous
InactiveI heard a rumour that CAC has been cancelled?
Is this a different event that has been sidelined or Septembers??

GuestHi Ryan,
I had every intention of going but now am rethinking. …… I would sure enjoy seeing all the people I missed last time around.
… July not being too overly encouraging … I think August may have to make itself known before I make a final decision.

InactiveWhere do these silly rumors come from?
What does one guy’s arrest for running a company with a shady background and tax evasion and taking bets on sports over the phone have to do with anything?
The law, like so many years before, is not passing and everything is great.
I will certainly be there to celebrate that.

I look forward to getting to put more faces to the names and nick names – other managers and affiliates

InactiveI will not be attending the CAC, just don’t think it is a time to go to a gaming show in the US. See ya all at the next CAP where we have a social gathering.

InactiveActually about 5 miles from my house! You betcha’ I’ll be at this one! Missed the last couple. Look forward to seeing some “old” aquaintences! Sorry you’re not coming Brian. (That helicopter ride was a hoot!) HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE!! Maverick Helicopters is THE one to use!
Just had a thought…(rare)… Shane’s thread got me thinking, kinda’ corny but how about if everyone wears a “namebadge” with their name, website, and nickname on it. Might seperate (or at least identify) “us” from the tourists. Magnetic “badges” are available at drug stores, party stores, Wally world, etc. You can add your own info to it. OR, maybe one of you affil. managers would like to bring a hundred or so to hand out?:woohoo:
Waddya’ think?
See you there, (if you can be found!):happydanc :shots: :drunk2:

InactiveThey hand out name tags when you arrive. First name, last name, and your main website URL (if I remember correctly).
In Miami, I wrote my CAP nickname on my name tag (under my real name), since most people know me as Engineer.
