InactiveIt’s a good thing always to add this:
This press release may contain forward-looking statements, particularly as related to the business plans of the company, within the meaning of Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933 and Sections 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and are subject to the safe harbor created by these sections. Actual results may differ materially from the company’s expectations and estimates.

Joking aside, sounds like interesting information and I can think of a thing or two on the topic that I would like to say…but maybe during the beer session.

InactiveDom,
The disclaimer at the bottom of the press release is standard for all of our press releases. You will also find that particular disclaimer ubiquitous in press releases, even for those of private companies. It is nothing new.

InactiveSpecialized forms of ‘white hat’ and ‘black hat’ internet marketing, inlcuding SEO, site scraping, triple jangros, search software, submission methods and others will be discussed.
What angle will be used to discuss ‘black hat’ marketing? I certainly hope it won’t be a “how to” angle.

Inactive“How to defend yourself” is more likely.

InactiveThat is the intention. I’ve been to a few sessions like this. While they are intended for the best interest of quality search results and protecting against unsavory techniques, there often are ‘black hatters’ in the audience that do take notes. (They constitute about 5-15% of the audience).
CAC is designed to be an open forum for ideas. Anything anyone has to say, good or bad, we want to hear it. We like to hear both sides of the argument. We have found most affiliates, gaming operators and marketing execs that attend the event have an open mind. And it makes for an extremely informative event, which usually results in increased revenue for the affiliate.
One point Dominique has made at previous events is that those that practice unethical marketing techniques DO make money…..but not for the long run. Eventually, their own techniques work against them and the market they try to create or take advantange of eats them up.

InactiveLooking for a possible sponsor for the CAC again this year, please let me know

Edited by request of author.
Holis is looking for someone to sponsor his attendance of CAC, not for someone to sponsor the CAC event.
If I were a program, I’d sponsor him in a minute flat. Poker programs, do yourselves a favor.

Hehe Marc,
I was making fun of the situation. I am well known for putting a disclaimer whenever I remark on a legal situation.
Kind of sad we need to do this, but this board is very public and widely read, and we do need to cross out t’s and dot our i’s.
