InactiveYou need to check the T&C’s with each site. Some do seem to suggest that they need to be told of the deal at the very last.
Additionally, there seems to be a zeal amoungst some groups to weed out non-performers – specifically they really only want affiliates who are bringing new players as well.
A result is some pretty draconian wording around loss of revenue if a new player is not brought in every month. So make sure that you’re covering all the deals with your existing sites.
EDIT :
And then of course the program may want to “bundle” the accounts with your existing accounts too – so it could be a bit more problematic than first thought.January 5, 2007 at 11:16 pm #721147Anonymous
InactiveTrue, you need to contact each program and see what they say. Stay away from the ones with predatory terms too. They can just confiscate all the players.
Overall, most programs will work with you on it, bit do it on an individual basis.

InactiveBuying affiliate accounts should be about the affiliate ID – after all, it is the one thing that sums up the affiliate relationship. If a player comes in via an affiliateID – the owner of that affiliateID gets the credits, and thus – the payments.
This should not be a problem if purchasing the entire company of the original affiliateID owner. However, if it’s an individual purchase – the program has to be notified of the new party to the T&C. It can get complicated.
I wouldn’t be surprised if provisions for sale/transfer of affiliateIDs are included in T&Cs in the future.
just my 2 cents.
