On a more serious note, other that having the processing speed, graphics ability and hard drive space, in hindsight I can honestly say that I would have bought the lightest weight one as mine spends 6-8hrs a day on my lap.
The Wi-Fi is basically an internal card in the lap top that allows you to connect to another computer, server, or ISP without the use of cables.
The router allows a PC to share it’s internet connection and/or printers with other computers. ie We have a Desktop PC with an internet connection, I have a laptop with Wi-Fi. In order for me to access the Desktop PC’s internet connection we had to have a router connected to our cable modem and the Desktop PC. But because my laptop is wireless I can sit at the other end of the house and be on the internet.
If you are interested in being connected to the internet with your laptop anywhere you go than you should get an ‘air card’ which allows you to connect to the internet via a cellular phone signal. Depending on where you are or if you are even in the States and what company you go through you can connect anywhere you have a cellular phone signal. With my carrier, that’s just about anywhere I choose to go within the states and internationally.
Good luck with your purchase and I can rest assure you that you will never be chained to a keyboard or desk again ( unless of course it’s on you lap):clapper:
