InactiveCryptologic (CRYP) was at about $13 a share in August of 2004. It’s now up to $33.50.
Due mostly to the poker boom. Not too shabby of a return if you bought in last summer.
When is Party releasing their IPO?
Best Regards,

InactiveLast thing I heard Party has not quite firmly decided to do this yet, but they are considering it very strongly. There is no date set yet.

InactiveIf their (Crypto) poker software didn’t suck so bad they would have more players. With six sites offering monthly bonuses to players they have a good start, but the software needs improvement. I have also read more than once about some affiliates not trusting them. If the affiliates won’t promote you, it is an uphill battle for market share.

InactiveIt is true the (Crypto) poker software needs some improvement, but last six to nine months, (Crypto) poker has gone up from 1000 players to now reaching over 5000 players in top hours. So, they are growing fast and I do see more and more webmasters promoting them.

> I have witnessed the growth that Caribbean Sun Poker or Sunpoker.com have experienced in the past several months or so first hand, and it has been tremendous.

> We have a number of really big poker affiliates who seem to trust us. We’ve always run a tight ship here and would be glad to have you aboard.
Kind Regards,

InactiveMark, thanks for the reply. I just want to clarify that I personally have had no problems with anyCrypto sites. As a player, the payouts are always accurate and fairly timely and they have never tried to screw me out of a bonus. As for affiliate relationships, you need to ask others here that promote them.

InactiveCaribbean Sun Poker had a rough start because they had trouble feeding the poker stats to the aff program – then they kept ending up under the Sands. But that has been long resolved and they are doing very well indeed now.
The ROI on the stockmarket speaks for itself.

InactiveComming from experience you can’t accurately predict a stock price on a newly listed company. It took me over 7 months to get back the money I lost by buying stocks based on the ‘story’ (eg: poker is becomming more popular so poker room stocks should rise).
If you want to make money on the markets then take my advice and read read read. Unless you have a natural gift it’s a slow process, but a very rewarding and more stable income stream.
Also, this ‘latest poll’. How many people were questioned, what age group, what sex, were the people all current poker players. How much info was realsed on the people who took part?

InactiveWell, I think I will put some gambling related companies in my list of shares and stock options

Maybe buying some stock options before some big game launch is a good idea.
Professor, when is the CAP Initial Public Offering? I want some shares.
Comming from experience you can’t accurately predict a stock price on a newly listed company.
Accurately predict – forbidden words in financial economics. Remember: Economists have predicted 7 of the last 4 crises
It’s difficult to predict anything in the economy. There are also several sharks around there with insider information.
The best thing to do is to have a diversified portfolio, with several stocks, in order to avoid denecessary risks, and have it for a couple of years. I don’t think buying stocks with less than $50,000 is a good idea. Unless you buy some professional managed funds.
When you don’t have that kind of money, the best thing to do is going for stock options. Higher risks, but higher rewards. You can leverage your money.
Or, if you have very tiny funds, a couple of beers is always a good idea.
