GuestThis is in no regard in respect to Brightshare in particular; but I wanted to say “Kudos” to Silvia for being adamant about not keeping a sponsor that isn’t producing; up on her sites.
Some of you have heard me whine about this before, and get ready again.
Anytime that any of us keep a sponsor that isn’t producing up on our sites; we’re not only hurting ourselves with lost commission, but more importantly we’ve likely put money, possibly considerable sums; into their pockets (from players stolen from us) which enables these scumbags to continue in their thieving ways because they now have money to survive a while longer until their next unsuspecting victim comes along.
Brightshare isn’t as bad as many places. but the who isn’t nearly as important as the action taken by Silvia. We can all learn from her expedient attitude and I think that if more people were more adamant about getting non-producing sponsors off our sites; it would greatly benefit us all.
Places like Casino PRofit Shave should have been gone a long time ago. I realize some places convert for some of us while not for others. But if we’d all police our sites better, it would benefit ourselves as well as our peers.

InactiveSo i’m not eating my words ….
Though I was happy to finally get approved with these casinos, as soon as I threw a few banners up and posted them in my forum i generated good traffic, had alot of signups..
But DAMN I’m in the hole so far I could probably crawl out into China……
*sigh*

InactiveI agree that we do have to be vigilant and I begin to doubt when someone who has several affiliate sites has a player with a program in a week and the rest of us haven’t had those kind of results.

InactiveI find that Brightshare casinos convert well. Unfortunately the player value is small, and whales dont exist.

GuestThis is exactly why I support the APCW, where casino portal operators send in their monthly stats so that conversions, etc. with the various casino groups can be quantified.
I think this is the best way we can effectively weed out the rogue programs and keep the others honest.
One month I sent over 10,000 visitors to Casino Rewards, had only 60 or so downloads and ZERO players sign up!!!
WTF?
I also have had no results with referback, even though I’ve promoted them (in the past) quite aggressively.

InactiveNo results with Referback for me either and I had sent them lots of traffic and that included many downloads

InactiveLooking through my stats I have a lot of players where my commission is sitting at $6.25.

Just gotta keep fishing – I don’t have whales anywhere else, while I know some of you have a few with most programs

GuestPS.
Fergie, that is a LOT of hits to send and see nothing for your troubles.
I don’t know where you get your traffic or what kind of results you get with it elsewhere; the reason I say this is because I’ve bought traffic that would equal those results you had at CR; so with that in mind, I’ll tell you my experience with CR.
*sorry to those that have heard this story before:
I sent CR over 2000 hits when first starting with them, and finally wrote Brent (whom I didn’t know at the time) about my situation.
I told him I’d sent him 2k and yet had never seen their accountant’s signature. Brent in his usual candor wrote me back and instead of insulting my intelligence like almost every other single aff manager by telling me to send more traffic for better conversions (? rocket scientists- all of ’em) ….
Brent just said he was sorry and that some places convert for some people better than others.
Well soley on the merits of Brent’s candor; I decided to keep them up a while longer.
long story shortened is they now are – if not my best sponsor; always within being the in the top 3.
I’ve heard your story Fergie not only from you and myself; but others as well.
All I can say is that CR has passed every single test I’ve sent them except one; (a signup at Strikeit lucky) and when I contacted Brent his reply was (instead of some BS about how maybe my links were wrong etc) , he took the the blame and said that (this was at the time, I think things have gotten better since) , but he said that their experience was that about 1 out of 10 signups for the flash casino (at the time, SIL was the only flash CR site) were not registering / being tracked.
He could have lied to me; he didn’t.
Shit like that wins me over every time. I’m a reasonable person. I know not everything works according to plan. What I get sick of is when they always try to put the blame on us.
well there’s my story on CR. I know they don’t convert well for some, and as much as I am a fan of CR; I would not tell a beginner to put all their eggs in CRs basket. They just don’t convert as good as one would want ideally.
But I do think they are honest. at least I’ve never been able to prove otherwise and believe me; I test everybody because I trust nobody. but I do trust some more than others.

GuestThanks, bb1webs, it’s great to have feedback.
The traffic I sent CR was through a pop-up,
so even though the traffic sent was pretty large, I didn’t expect a terrific conversion rate. That’s why I mentioned the number of downloads (which I assume include attemted downloads).Guess I’ll keep plugging away with CR – they have a new casino on the list, Yukon Gold, – which makes things more interesting.
